Alonzo Robichaud

Alonzo J. Robichaud
August 21, 1944 ~ September 20, 2019 (Age 75)


WINCHENDON- Alonzo J. Robichaud, 75, a longtime resident of Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, September 20, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born in Parkton, NB, Canada on August 21, 1944, son of the late Herve and Genevieve (Hebert) Robichaud and had attended school in Canada before moving to Winchendon.
Al worked as a painter in the area before working in the plastics industry at Modern Dispersions, retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox and also loved watching the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed and looked forward to Tuesday nights with his best friends Laurie and Bruce Tanguay, playing pool at the pub. Al also enjoyed his beer and his “jippy juice” and lived life to the fullest. Above all else, he found his greatest enjoyment spending times with his loved ones.
He leaves his two daughters. Marie L. Robichaud of Gardner, and Christine M. Robichaud of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Robichaud of Gardner, Travis Robichaud of Winchendon, and Monika Engleman of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; 4 great grandchildren, Kayden and Benjamin Robichaud of Gardner, Cecelia Churchill of Virginia, and Zelda Sherlock of Jaffrey, NH. He was predeceased by his companion of many years, June Sawyer.
The family extends a special thank you to Wayne and Patty Sawyer, as well as the rest of the Sawyer family, for being his caretakers, friends, and family. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be private and the family will announce a gathering at a later date. There are no calling hours.

Gwendolyn E. Flagg
November 3, 1928 ~ September 18, 2019 (Age 90)


WINCHENDON – Gwendolyn E. Flagg, 90, formerly of 25 Main Street, died peacefully Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
She was born on November 3, 1928, daughter of the late Webster A. and Grace C. (Carpinella) Flagg and was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life.
Gwendolyn worked for a time as a CNA in local hospitals.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11 A.M. in Riverside Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
