Winchendon's Ashley D. Signa named to Dean's List
Ashley D. Signa, who is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry, has been named to the Dean's list by Western New England University.
Celebrating its Centennial in the year 2019, Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England serves 3,974 students, including 2,629 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the School of Law.
WINCHENDON CUB SCOUT PACK 193
Cub Scout Pack 193 in Winchendon was founded in 2011 and are proudly sponsored by the American
Legion Post 193. They believe in “Fun with a Purpose” and are an active and growing pack with
trained, dedicated leaders who work closely with the Scouts and provide the best Cub Scout program
possible. Each Den consists of 5-10 scouts and has two Den Leaders. In November 2018 Troop 193
welcomed Troop 7193 for girls offering something for everyone!!!!
Pack 193 has earned several council awards including National Summertime Pack Award and the Gold
Journey to Excellence with 100% Scouts Life. Each month the pack has different outings and activities
for the scouts and their families. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting – citizenship
training, character development, and personal fitness. Many activities happen right in the den and
pack. Most important to them are weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meeting.
Scouts of different ages have different ranks starting with Lions in Kindergarten, Tiger in 1st grade,
Wolf Cub in 2nd grade, Bear Cub in 3rd grade and Webelos in grade 6 getting ready to graduate to into
Scouts BSA. All Pack 193's leaders are trained by the Boy Scouts of America.
Pack 193 recently welcomed its newest Eagle Scout, Daniel F. Daniel passed his Board of Review and
became the first Eagle Scout in Troop 193 that has come up through Cub Scout Pack 193 since he was
a Tiger!!!!
Join Cub Scout Pack 193 for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on March 29th from 7-9:30am at the
United Parish Church, Winchendon.
