Stanford Long

STANFORD 'STAN' LONG
May 10, 1944 ~ October 2, 2020 (Age 76)

Stanford White 'Stan' Long, 76, of New Ipswich, NH, and formerly of Hatboro, PA, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2020 in Jaffrey.

Stan was born on May 10, 1944, in Greenville, TN, son of the late Maurice and Dimple (Sorrell) Long. A true Southern gentleman, he graduated from Everett High School and Maryville College in Maryville, TN while spending summers at Nature's Classroom formerly known as Sargent Camp in Peterborough, NH at the base of Mt Monadnock.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Grandaddy, band booster, football coach, school board president, dance & theatre dad, choir member, church elder, bluegrass guitar player, family cheerleader, animal lover, substitute teacher, life of the party, textile industry exec, ultimate TN Vols fan, Maryville College football player, Sargent Camp counselor, Lazy Boy chair lover, expert Dad Joke teller, a kind soul and an exceptional hugger.

He loved his native Tennessee with a fierce loyalty. Originally a dog lover, he finally succumbed to the feline charms of Emma and Otis, too. Most recently, Stan belonged to the New Ipswich Zoning Board of Adjustment, Heritage Commission and Deering Community Church.

Stan is survived by his wife, Sally A. Carll-Long of New Ipswich; his children Erick Long and husband Christopher Montella of Santa Clarita, CA; Chris Long and wife Heidi of Ambler, PA and Kate Dixon and husband Mike of Morehead City, NC and his step-children Jason Tamulen and wife Shawna of Winchendon, MA and Josh Tamulen of Sterling, MA as well as, his beloved grandchildren Tanner, Sorrell, Morgan, Hunter, Sophie, Logan, Aidan, Kaitlyn and Ayla.

Services will be held privately at the request of the family.

Carmen M. Menard

CARMEN M. MENARD
May 3, 1930 ~ October 13, 2020 (Age 90)

WINCHENDON - Carmen M. (Labier) Menard, 90, formerly of 122 Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston.

She was born in Winchendon on May 3, 1930, daughter of the late Ernest and Stella (Rainville) Labier and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.

Carmen was a graduate of Brom's Academy of Hairdressing in Worcester and had worked as a hairdresser may years ago.

Her husband, Raymond J. Menard, died in 2019. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Roland Labier, Norman Labier, Rita Cloutier and Elda Martin. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon is directing arrangements.

Carol Ann Carr

CAROL A. CARR
June 13, 1941 ~ October 7, 2020 (Age 79)

Framingham- Carol Ann Carr, 79, of Framingham passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Born in Winchendon, she was the daughter of the late Ellen (Castelli) and Roland C. Boudreau. She was the former wife of Edward T. Carr of Natick.

Carol had worked for Wonder Bread in Natick for several years. She was a phenomenal wedding cake baker, having made several wedding cakes over the years. She took pleasure in her travels to Old Orchard Beach and York Beach, Maine, where she loved to camp in cabins. She was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. Carol had a big heart and always told you how it was. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and especially time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her son, William F. Carr and his spouse, Laura Rose of Holliston; her brother, Grant and his wife, Lisa Boudreau of VA; her aunt and uncle, Beverly and Tom Fitzgerald of Leominster; her grandchildren, LeaAnne Zahner and her husband, Joe, Katelyn and Kimberly Carr and her great-grandchildren, Joey and Billy Zahner, Aiden and Thomas Carr; as well as many loved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Edward Thomas Carr Jr and her siblings, Ronald Boudreau and Beverly Collari.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.

Alan J. Gauthier

ALAN J. GAUTHIER
March 24, 1947 ~ October 9, 2020 (Age 73)

WINCHENDON - Alan J. Gauthier, 73, of 92B Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Friday, October 9, 2020 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.

Born in Winchendon on March 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Alfred and Grace (Patch) Gauthier and was a graduate of Murdock High School. Alan proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Alan was a woodworker at the former Patriots Furniture Company. An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, NASCAR and New England Patriots, he enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He also enjoyed reading. Alan was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post #193 American Legion.

He leaves two children, Shannon E. Gauthier of Naples, FL and Matthew A. Gauthier and his wife Ashley of Valley Springs, CA; four grandchildren, Michael, Shawn, Anthony and Makaylah; a brother Alfred Gauthier Jr of Orange; three sisters, Claudette Vaillancourt of Winchendon, Patricia Lemmer and her husband Robert of Winchendon and Nancy Wheeler and her husband James of FL, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Gauthier and George Gauthier and a sister, June Wood.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. A calling hour will precede the services from 9 AM to 10 A.M. Masks and social distancing are required.

Burial, with military honors, will be in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Eleanor J. Lambert

ELEANOR J. LAMBERT
July 31, 1929 ~ October 7, 2020 (Age 91)

Eleanor J. Lambert, 91, of Jaffrey passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020, after a long struggle with Dementia.

She was born in Winchendon, MA, on July 31, 1929, daughter of the late Emile 'Jack' and Delma (Coderre) Ouellette and had attended Murdock High School.

Eleanor had always enjoyed working with the public, first as a seamstress at the Dress Shoppe in Winchendon, and later in Jaffrey and Rindge at Belletete's Supermarket and Market Basket grocery stores. She loved the opportunity to give back to her community when she had returned to her seamstress roots and created the Town of Jaffrey's Flag for the town's Bicentennial Celebration in 1976.

Eleanor loved to dance, so much so, that one of her favorite sayings was "I'd rather dance than eat". She met her future husband at a dance and as they say, the rest was history. Eleanor was married to Wilfred "Fid" Lambert, Jr. in 1949, and together, they made Jaffrey their home, where singing and dancing were favorite pastimes. Eleanor always loved hearing her children sing, especially in the choir. Her quick wit, friendly smile and her "Later Baby" and "Pretty good for a kid" catchphrases will be greatly missed by all who love her....Not to mention the lipstick mark she left on your forehead after a kiss!

Eleanor was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey and member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes and the former Ste. Anne's Society. For many years, she enjoyed travelling to Quebec, to the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre for her Feast Day.

Eleanor's husband Fid preceded her in death on July 17, 1997.

She is survived by her 6 children: Candace (Lambert) Kilduff and husband, Calvin, Patricia Lambert, Debra (Lambert) Hall and husband, Kim, Kathryn Lambert Kamm and husband, Kevin, Scott Lambert and wife, Anne, Michelle (Lambert) LaFortune and husband, Scott. Her 13 grandchildren: Megan Kilduff and husband, Timothy Boughan, Jason Kilduff and wife, Megan, Joshua Motuzas, Kate (Motuzas) Somero and husband, Matthew, Jenny Motuzas, Heather (Hall) Burt, Jeffrey Hall and wife, Jennifer, Matthew Gauthier, Nicole (Lambert) Sweeney and husband, Michael, Kathryn Lambert, Wilfred Lambert, Chantal LaFortune and Claudia LaFortune. Her 25 great-grandchildren: Hunter Boughan, Cole Boughan, Shelby (Somero) Dupuis and husband, Tobias, Darci (Somero) Seppala and husband, Dane, Isabella Somero, Garrett Somero, Marcus Somero, Julia Somero, Gretchen Somero, Brielle Somero, Gavin Motuzas, Malique Motuzas, Eleanor Burt, Joanna Burt, Nickaylah Hall, Lillian Hall, Isabella Hall, Katelynn Hall, Brook Gauthier, Chloe Gauthier, Dharma Gauthier, Kiera Sweeney, Kiley Sweeney, Holden Williams, Briar Williams. One great-great grandchild, Avaya Dupuis. Her brother-in-law, Norman Lambert and sisters-in-law, Alice Pineault and Joanne Smith and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the concerns around Covid-19, calling hours and Eleanor's Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately but can be streamed on Eleanor's obituary page on www.cournoyerfh.com at 11:00 on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

Friends who wish to pay their respects are warmly invited to Eleanor's graveside service on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1:00 at the family lot in Saint Patrick Cemetery where social distancing will be observed and face masks required.

Rita A. St. Pierre

RITA A. ST. PIERRE
September 25, 1932 ~ October 14, 2020 (Age 88)

WINCHENDON - Rita A. (LeClerc) St. Pierre, 88, of 90 Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 2020 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Winchendon with her family at her side.

She was born in East Templeton on September 25, 1932, daughter of the late Albert J. and Blanche A. (Lemire) LeClerc and had lived in Winchendon since 1951.

Rita worked as a lubricator at New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Peterborough, NH for 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Ipswich Drive Tenants Council. She enjoyed the activities at Winchendon Senior Center, crocheting and knitting. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She leaves five children, Diana R. Look of Gardner Michael F. St. Pierre and his wife Pat of Orange, Ronald L. St. Pierre and his wife Paula of Ashburnham, David A. St. Pierre and his wife Penny of Hudson, NC, Sheila M. Girouard and her husband Pete of Winchendon; her brother, Roland LeClerc of Templeton; ten grandchildren, Amy, Lori, Michael Jr., Corey, Shawn, Luke, Mark, Zachary, Mark and Rebecca; 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Edmond LeClerc, Marguerite Arsenault, Arthur LeClerc, Camille LeClerc, Anthony LeClerc, Theresa LeClerc, Albert LeClerc and Blanche Holland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 9 to 10:30 A.M. preceding the mass in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
