Marjorie H. Bouchard

MARJORIE H. BOUCHARD
December 10, 1927 ~ November 5, 2020 (Age 92)

WINCHENDON - Marjorie H. (Faley) Bouchard, 92, of 16 Ready Drive, died peacefully Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Beverly.

She was born in Leominster on December 10, 1927, daughter of the late Nelson and Elizabeth (Maillet) Faley and was a graduate of Leominster High School. She was a resident of Leominster for most of her life and had lived in Winchendon since 2010.

Marjorie worked as a telephone operator for ten years until her retirement. An artist, she did many paintings and enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and music.

She leaves a son, Scott Bouchard and his wife Deborah of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Kady Bouchard, Kori Bouchard and Kevin Bouchard; three great grandchildren, Brittney, Christopher and Kaiden; a sister, Sandra Lausch of Maine and four great great grandchildren. A son, Randy Bouchard, and a daughter, Michele Krueger, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Paul D. Pace Sr.

PAUL D. PACE SR.
January 4, 1947 ~ November 7, 2020 (Age 73)

Paul D. Pace Sr., 73, of Yale Avenue, died early Saturday morning, November 7, 2020 at home with loved ones at his side following a battle with Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia, a rare inherited blood disease.

Paul was born in Tampa, Florida on January 4, 1947 to Helen (Rathburn)(Pace) White(died November 1993) and William Pace and went to school in Mississippi, California, and Athol and Orange, Massachusetts.

Paul worked for F.L. Castine's for 15 years, Duall Plastics for 12 years and Traver's Welding for 5 years. He later went to work at the Jolly Tavern at Lucky Lanes in Athol until he retired.

Paul was in the United States Naval Reserves, serving 2 years active duty aboard the USS Riley LPD #1 during the Vietnam Era.

Paul loved his family and friends, as well as fishing, camping, boating, reading his mom's Louis Lamore books, and his new favorite author was William Johnstone. Paul also loved John Wayne movies and has quite a collection thanks to his brother Tomy Pace.

Paul and his wife Gloria spent many nights dancing and having a good time at the former Silver Spur in Orange.

Paul is survived by his wife, Gloria M. (Hemingway) Pace; two biological sons, Paul D. Pace Jr. and Thomas J.A. Pace, and one daughter, Tina Marie Pace. He also leaves five step children, George Jolly Jr., Cindy Plumley, Lori Jolly, Christine Jolly and Teresa Jolly; 18 grandchildren, Tara Jean Pace, Brandon Williams, Devin Williams, Christopher Pace, Ronald Furr, Amanda Jolly, Kyle Jolly, Sarah Jolly, Chance Jolly, Scott Plumley Jr., Joshua Plumley, Gloria Jolly, Lawrence Kniskern, Moniqua Jolly, Shane Furtado Jr., Nikita Jolly Ball, Nickolas Dahl and Lisa Johnson; great grandchildren, Anneabell Jolly, Mia Jolly, Alivia Knight, Remington Brandon, Dillin Plumley, Evan Young, Zachary Young, Lexi Kniskern, Hunter Tedford, Ally Furtado, Byron Hennessey, Andrew Dahl, McKenna Dahl, Mckenna Ball, Gavin Ball, Blake Ball and Tatum Ball.

Paul is also survived by his brothers and sisters, John Pace (wife Faith died1/23/2020), Karen Williams and husband Richard of Oregon, Cindy Flores and husband Joseph, of Texas, Bonny Terry of Athol, Tomy Pace and his wife Sharon, of Winchendon and Tony White of Troy, New Hampshire; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul was predeceased by a grandson, Jacob D. Pace on October 1, 1999,and his first wife, Cynthia J. (Stowell) Pace who died December 9, 1987.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.

James C. Yelle Jr.

JAMES C. YELLE JR.
April 10, 1960 ~ November 7, 2020 (Age 60)

WINCHENDON - James C. Yelle, Jr., 60, of 81 Elmwood Road, died unexpectedly at home, Saturday, November 7, 2020.

He was born in Winchendon on April 12, 1960, son of the late James C. and Louise Mae (Pike) Yelle and lived in Winchendon for most of his life.

Jim worked as a carpenter and handyman and worked mostly in the maintenance field. He had worked at Teleflex, New England Wooden Ware, American Reels and Cardinal Comb in Leominster. A former Eagle Scout, Jim loved bowling, playing pool, swimming, and hunting. He especially enjoyed deep sea fishing, coin collecting and watching movies. He was always will to lend a helping hand and acting goofy to make people laugh. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He leaves his significant other, Lisa Kane;three children, Kathern Mayrand of Winchendon, Amanda Yelle of Winchendon and James C. Yelle 3rd of Gardner; two grandchildren, Emilee Laraba and Paisley Cormier and three siblings, Joseph Lavenski of NH, Gina Lajoie of Winchendon and James Yelle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family would love to hear stories about Jim.

James Barry Costello

JAMES BARRY COSTELLO
1945 ~ November 1, 2020 (Age 75)

Manchester, NH - James Barry Costello of Manchester, NH passed away on November 1st due to complications of Covid-19. He was 75 years old.

Barry is survived by Nara (Donna), his wife of 47 years and by their daughter Carol Costello-Scott, her husband Walter Scott and their daughter Eleanor Eileen.

Barry is also survived by his two step daughters Ornanong St. John of Winchendon, MA and Lisa Lindh of Manchester, NH.

Barry served as Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force based in Udorn, Thailand. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He enjoyed working on the road and meeting people while he was an award winning salesman throughout greater New Hampshire. In his spare time he was an accomplished 10 pin bowler playing in many leagues in the Manchester area.

Barry will be greatly missed by his four sisters; Jean Costello Moran of Beverly, MA; Ann Costello of Portland, Maine; Kathleen Carlin of Sterling, MA; Jane Derosier of Worcester, MA; and by his six nieces and nephews and his many friends.

Due to the pandemic services will be postponed until May, 2021. Barry's ashes will be interred then at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bridge House 260 Highland St in Plymouth, NH which provides services to veterans.

Robert E. Raux Sr.

ROBERT E. RAUX, SR.
February 26, 1942 ~ November 7, 2020 (Age 78)

ILION - Robert "Bob" E. Raux, Sr., age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, November 7, 2020 in Faxton-St. Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford.

He was born on February 26, 1942 in Winchendon, MA. He was raised in Herkimer and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. For 41 years, he was employed as a chemical engineer for the Remington Arms Company, retiring in 2009. After retirement, he wanted to stay active and be with people, so he worked at LePage Bakery, Herkimer.

Bob had a strong sense of community. He was president and coach of the Mohawk Midget League, for two years head coach of Pop Warner B League, for ten years Major Project Chairman with the Ilion Elks Lodge # 1444 raising funds yearly to benefit victims of Cerebral Palsy at a weekend long softball tournaments, attended by teams from Elks Lodges all over New York State. In 1986, he was selected Elk of the Year.

Bob loved to be outdoors, backyard fires, hunting, fishing, camping, boating and golfing. He cherished the time with his many friends and family. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, he enjoyed cooking, the Tuesday Night Club, Friday night cards and listening to Johnny Cash records. He was also a member of the Ilion Moose Club. To those who knew him, he was a great guy and an incredibly hard worker. He will be truly missed.

He leaves behind his loving companion of 22 years, Mary L. Finnegan Jones; three sons, Bob Raux, Jr., Scott Raux and Mark Raux; two beloved daughters, Heather Raux-Talarico and husband, Chet and Hollie Collard and husband, Chuck; ten special grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Joan Raux and Ramona Raux; many nieces and nephews; and his loving beagles, Bobber and Beaner.

Besides his adoptive parents, Theodore and Margaret Raux, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence Sherrick, Fred Sherrick, Harry Raux and Richard Raux; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bob and Pearl Hudson, David and Leona Strong and Donald and Janet Trask; and beloved friend, Margaret Bianco.

Calling hours for Bob will be on Thursday (today) from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon James Bower officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls.

In Iieu of flowers pleased consider memorial donations to Health Friends of Utica or Herkimer ARC. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the second floor ICU nurses.

Ronald H. Schofield

RONALD H. SCHOFIELD
August 10, 1934 ~ November 7, 2020 (Age 86)

WINCHENDON - Ronald H. Schofield, 86, of 75 Hyde Park Drive, died peacefully Saturday afternoon, November 7, 2020 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born in Templeton on August 10, 1934, son of the late Myrtle Schofield and was a 1952 graduate of Murdock High School. He was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.

Ron worked for 20 years as a bundler at New England Wood Ware Corporation until his retirement in 1999. He proudly served his country in Korea as a member of United States Marines Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion and Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 VFW. Ron was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed playing cards.

His wife, Madeline E. (Doucette) Schofield, died 2005. He leaves a daughter, Shirley Cote of Gardner; two grandsons, Shaun Cote and Ryan Cote; five grandchildren, two of whom he raised, Margaret "Peggy" Davis of Winchendon and Lawrence Joseph Doucette Jr of Athol; two stepsons, Lawrence Joseph Doucette Sr of Bridgewater and Adam J. Lavenski of Orange; a sister, Anita Clapp Lescord of Gardner; his companion of many years, Donna Brown of Winchendon; many step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Janice M. Bowler; two brothers, Richard LaBarge and Robert LaBarge and two sisters, Viola Belletete and Sandra Boutell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 5 to 7 PM with a Legion Service at 6;30 P.M.

Masks and social distancing are required.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

RICHARD M. BURDEN, JR.
April 30, 1930 ~ November 4, 2020 (Age 90)

Templeton - Richard M. Burden, Jr., 90, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Alliance Health at Baldwinville.

He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Coleburn) Burden who was the love of his life. They were married in 1974. He leaves his two sons, David Burden and James Burden; one stepdaughter, Kathleen (Young) Dwyer of Templeton; one stepson, James D. Young and his wife Sheila of Bellingham. He has several grandchildren including Kerianne C. Dwyer, Kathleen M. Dwyer and John J. Lupo, all of Winchendon and Ashley M. Young of Bellingham as well as several great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. Dick was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Burden and a stepson, Daniel Young.

He was born in Saugus on April 24, 1930, a son of the late Richard M. Sr., and Beatrice M. (Clark) Burden. He served in the US Airforce during the Korean War as a staff sergeant.

Richard worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the treasury department as an accountant for many years. He was a Master Mason having been a member for over fifty years. He was a member of the Brethren of Mount Vernon-Galilean Lodge and was honored with the Veteran's Medal. He was also a longtime member of the American Legion.

Funeral services will be private. He will be interred in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

BALDWINVILLE - Florence Grant, 80 of 51 Baldwinville, died Sunday, November 8, 2020 in the Alliance Health of Baldwinville.

She was born in Alburgh, Vermont, on June 6, 1940, the daughter of the late William C. and the late Mary C. (Mumley) Grant. Florence grew up in Alburgh, Vermont and moved to Fitchburg in the early 1970's working at Seth Thomas for many years. She eventually moved to Gardner and resided there for many years.She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Gardner.

She enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, crossword puzzles and playing Yahtzee.

She leaves three daughters, Sally Francis of Winchendon, Karen Powers and her husband Steven of Baldwinville, Brenda Leary of Winchendon; two sons, Seven Grant of Winchendon, Kenneth Grant and his wife Jane of Winchendon, two brothers, Charlie Grant of North Carolina, Roger Grant of Winooski, VT; two sisters, Barbara Grant of Winooski, VT, Janet Lafebure of Burlington, VT; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her first husband, Clifton J. Grant, by her second husband, Robert M. Grant; by two brothers, Bobby Grant, Lawrence Grant and by a daughter in-law, Bonnie Grant.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg will be private. A calling hour will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10 - 11 am at the funeral home.
