Kevin F. LaFountaine

KEVIN F. LaFOUNTAINE
July 29, 1963 ~ April 28, 2021 (Age 57)

Kevin LaFountaine passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women's Hospital on April 28th 2021 surrounded by his children: son Tyler LaFountaine, daughter Shauna Iverson, his brothers Lee, Harry and Frank LaFountaine, and his sister Pennie Companion.

Kevin was born in Burlington Vermont on July 29th, 1963 and was raised in Colchester Vermont where he then graduated from High School in 1982. He attended DeVry University and graduated with a degree in Electronics. He later moved to Winchendon, Ma. where he and his wife Cindy raised their children. Kevin and Cindy were dedicated to the community and its Popwarner program, where Kevin coached football for many years alongside Cindy who coached cheerleading.

If you were lucky enough to know Kevin personally you know he was a devoted Dad, Grandfather "Opa", friend and mentor. Kevin had an immense joy for life and made everyone who he came in contact with feel loved. His passions included cooking, hosting, new adventures and his friends and family.

The most consistent theme running through his remembrance is that family, friends and medical staff knew him as a model of love, kindness and generosity that we all should aspire to live and be. He will be missed greatly.

Kevin is survived by his son Tyler LaFountaine and daughter-in-law Lauren LaFountaine, son Andrew DiGiulio, daughter Shauna Iverson and son-in-law Nicholas Iverson, grandchildren Scarlett, Maxwell, and Vera LaFountaine along with his brothers Lee, Harry, Frank and his sister Pennie, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He had a special relationship with his family and never hesitated to express how important each one of us was to him.

A private reception will be held at a later date. There will be no graveside funeral services at this time.

In lieu of flowers we request donations are made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
