Winchendon Lions Coat Drive 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Please donate new or lightly used kids' coats, hats, gloves and snowsuits--all sizes needed. Donations will be distributed to families in need by the Winchendon CAC. Coat drive at the Clark Memorial YMCA, 155 Central St., Winchendon, rain or shine.
The Haunted Park 5:00 p.m. This month we will have haunted trails and a trunk of treat. We will have a Medium as well as a carved pumpkin contest (Bring your own previously carved pumpkin to display). We hope to have cider and donuts from The Red Apple Farm and we want everyone to have a spookily good time. If you would like to decorate your vehicle for the trunk or treat and give out candy or volunteer to act as a haunted person please contact Tiffany at 978-413-4408. Festive Photo Day 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Join us for some amazing backgrounds for your holiday photos! Great for Christmas cards and gifts of all kinds. We will have some gorgeous spaces decorated and ready for you to take your own amazing photos! Well trained, leashed dogs will be allowed by appointment with their families (as we don’t want too many dogs here at once so they can have their space). First Annual Winchendon Garlic Drop 1:00-3:00 p.m. Plant a clove--grow a community! Join us to plant over 100 heads of garlic in our Winchendon Community Gardens throughout town to donate to the local CAC and the schools. No experience needed! Great family activity for all ages! A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre 2:00 p.m. The Murdock Music Department celebrates musical theatre with a new musical revue featuring songs from some of the most beloved shows. The Giving Event 5:00 p.m. The holiday season is upon us and what better way to embrace it than to give to those in need. Bottle and Can Drive 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Sponsored by Murdock High School. Any returnable bottle and can is welcome. What do we do with them? The funds collected go to various student groups. The metal tabs are collected and donated to Shriners' Hospitals. Coca-Cola codes are collected and entered to benefit Murdock Middle School. Then the plastic caps are donated to a project that recycles them into plastic benches and playground equipment. At 273 Central Street, in CAC parking lot. Weather permitting.
Operation Winchendon Cares: A Touch of Home for the Holidays 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Send a little love for the holidays to our men and women, from Winchendon, who are stationed around the world.
