Toni K. Gilbert

TONI K. GILBERT
January 23, 1943 ~ March 1, 2021 (Age 78)

WINCHENDON - Toni K. (Lafrennie) Gilbert, 78, of 63 Hyde Park Drive, died peacefully Monday, March 1, 2021 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.

A lifelong resident of Winchendon, Toni was born on January 23, 1943, daughter of the late Allen J. and Irene H. (Deshan) Lafrennie. She was a graduate of Murdock High School with the class of 1961.

Toni worked as a sander at Salooms Furniture and previously had worked at Bards and New Hampshire Ball Bearing. She enjoyed reading and the company of her cats. Toni was a member of Silver Sneakers and Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband of 54 years, Arthur J. "Buddy" Gilbert, died in 2016 and a son, Scott J. Gilbert, died in 2018. She leaves a son, J. Michael Gilbert of Gardner; a brother, Allen J. Lafrennie III of Winchendon; a sister, Nadyne Perkins of Winchendon; a granddaughter, Kerry Hall, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Karkane and a brother, Dean Lafrennie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.

Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon is directing arrangements.

Stephen P. Lafrennie

STEPHEN P. LAFRENNIE
December 22, 1951 ~ March 6, 2021 (Age 69)

WINCHENDON - Stephen P. Lafrennie, 69, of 116 Maple Street, died peacefully in his home Saturday, March 6, 2021, with his family at his side.

He was born in Winchendon on December 22, 1951, son of the late Paul A. and Rita M. (Jones) Lafrennie and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Steve was a 1969 graduate of Murdock high School, where he played basketball, baseball and football. He later attended classes on fire technology at Mt. Wachusett Community College.

Steve had worked in quality control at Modern Dispersions in Leominster for many years.

Steve was a member and former Fire Chief of the Orange Fire Department and was a former captain, member and EMT of the Winchendon Fire Department. He had a love of people and was known for his big heart.

Steve was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the Knights of the Inferno, Ironside Chapter. He was also a member of Eugene M. Connor Post Sons of the American Legion. He loved his family, his dog Cappy and had volunteered at church suppers at the Unitarian Universalist Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

He leaves his step-mother, Leda Lafrennie of Rindge, NH; His partner in life, Doreen Hodgen; 7 children, Sean A. Lafrennie and fiancé Christy Loseman of Winchendon, Ryan A. Lafrennie and wife Amber of Gardner, Matthew Lafrennie and wife Jena of Athol. Chad Lafrennie and wife Stephanie of Winchendon, Megan Valliere of Gardner, Stefanie Stone and husband Andrew of Winchendon, and Juana Bigelow of Ware; two brothers, Paul A. Lafrennie Jr and wife Florence and Joseph M. Lafrennie and wife Tekla and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Mark, Scott Timothy and Kevin Lafrennie; a sister, Michelle Brow and a granddaughter Chelsea Lafrennie.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4 to 7 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Masks and social distancing are required.

Burial will be private at a later date.
