Nicholas Pike

NICHOLAS PIKE
November 17, 2022 (Age 26)

We are sad to announce the passing of Nicholas Michael-Alexander Pike of Gardner Ma. At age 26, he was taken too soon on November 17, 2022, from an unfortunate car accident.

Nick loved his family, friends, and work. He is survived by his significant other, Julianna Bauer of Framingham; his mother, Rhonda Angelini of Leominster; father, Ryan Pike of Greenfield, significant other Melissa O'Dell of Fitchburg; grandparents Debra Bigeau of Gardner; David and Sharron Pike of Largo Fl; Hannah Proctor and family of Gardner; sister, Amber Smith and husband Joe of Westminster; nieces Kendall, Sadie, Clara, and nephew Jackson; brother Matthew Angelini and wife Crystal of Leominster; nephew, Giovanni Angelini; 3 Aunts; 4 Uncles; and many cousins, great uncles and Aunts, and close friends.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Stephen and Cheryl Forest of Leominster.

Nick Studied Plumbing at Monty Tech Vocational School. Nick's kind soul, selflessness and empathy for others drove him to pursue a career in counselling. With a natural ability to help all, his passion for humanity led him to a behavioral support specialist career for Life Connections of Winchendon MA where he had recently received a promotion. His ability to listen and his genuine support for others made him the perfect advocate for those who needed help. He was a teacher, providing guidance, shining a light into anyone's lives he entered. He also cherished all medieval things and attending renaissance fairs.

All are invited to attend Nick's celebration of life at the Westminster VFW at 3 Eaton St, Westminster Ma on December 11, 2022, from 1-4 p.m.

Robert Wilson Smith

ROBERT WILSON SMITH
September 14, 1937 ~ November 20, 2022 (Age 85)

Winchendon & Arcadia, FL- Robert Wilson Smith, 85, died November 20, 2022 at his home in Florida after a long illness.

He was the husband of the late Lillianne (Belletete) Smith, who died in 1996.

Robert leaves two sons, Robert S. Smith and his wife Colleen of Templeton and Scott Smith and his wife Melissa of Baldwinville; one daughter Brenda Zeimbekakis and her husband George of FL; eight grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Smith of Winchendon; one sister Norma Boudrieau of Gardner; many nieces and nephews.

He is also predeceased by his longtime companion, Veronica (Bonnie) Baxter.

Robert was born on September 14, 1937 a son of the late John H.S. and Bertha (Clement) Smith. He was a graduate of Murdock High School and served in the US Navy. He worked for General Electric for 30 plus years as a Machinist.

He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and especially playing golf. He also enjoyed living in Florida for many years. He also had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475. There will be calling hours from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.

Burial will follow with military honors at the Riverside Cemetery, Glennallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

Liselore Burdell

ILSELORE D. BURDELL
June 13, 1935 ~ November 5, 2022 (Age 87)

Ilselore D. (Stein) Burdell, 87, passed away peacefully in Quabbin Valley Health Care on November 5th, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth J. Burdell in 1998 and her daughter Dorothy Lyons in 2015.

Ilselore was born in Berlin, Germany on June 13, 1935, to the late Richard H. Stein and Magdalena E. Funke. Ilselore came to the United States in 1953. She worked for Shepard and Parker and Anstel Oil Company. She was former President of the Polish American Woman's Club, a member of the St. Bernard's Parents Association and a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She enjoyed her time in church where she was able to sing in the choir. Ilselore loved knitting, crocheting, bo'Nfing and her family.

Ilselore is survived by her two sons Richard Burdell and his partner Lisa Palmer, of Gardner, MA and Kevin Burdell and wife Paula of Winchendon, MA. Grandchildren Jonathan Yarnell, Christopher Burdell, Alisha Kaliviotis, Thomas Burdell , 6 great-grandchildren, cousins Axel and Helga Funke and Jorg and Dorothea Mager. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth in 1998 and her brothers, Joachim and Helmut Stein.

The Burdell Family would like to thank Quabbin Valley Health for their wonderful care and kindness over the last year and a half.

A Mass for Ilselore will be held on Tuesday November 29,2022@ 10a.m. in St. Bernard Parish @ St. Camillus de Lellis Church 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg, MA ,with Interment to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and should meet at church. There are no calling hours.

Shirley E. Smith

SHIRLEY E. SMITH
January 30, 1943 ~ November 18, 2022 (Age 79)

Shirley E. (Fisher) Smith, 79, of Fitzwilliam, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

She was born in Winchendon, Mass., on Jan. 30, 1943, daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Christine Marie (Calkins) Fisher. She grew up in Winchendon, Mass., and was a resident of Fitzwilliam for several years. Shirley had worked at Ray Plastics, the former Temple Stuart Furniture Company, and later worked at C.R. Bard and Millipore. Following the death of her husband, she worked as a home health aide. Shirley was the past president and treasurer for the former Temple Stuart Furniture Social Company.

She enjoyed playing the guitar and organ in her younger years and loved to help people in need. Her greatest joy was her family.

She leaves her brothers and sisters: Alberta Methe of Winchendon, Mass.; Lorraine St. Pierre of Winchendon, Mass.; Patricia Rutka of Jaffrey; Bryon Fisher of Jaffrey; and Austin Fisher of Winchendon, Mass.; her significant other, Kurt Cutler, of Ware, Mass.; her stepchildren: Carol Blyther of Gardner, Mass.; and Kathy Oberist of Gardner, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Ralph G. Smith; a daughter, Betty Ann Olander; and a stepson, Ricky Smith.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, Mass.

Judith A. Lepine

JUDITH A. LEPINE
April 6, 1940 ~ November 22, 2022 (Age 82)

Judith A. Lepine, 82 of Troy, NH, passed away on November 22, 2022 following a period of declining health.

She was born on April 6, 1940 in Newport, NH, daughter of the late Walter Kempton and Phyllis (Warren) Smith. She was raised in South Merrimack, NH, where she graduated from Merrimack High School. Judy continued her education at Keene State College and received a master's degree in 1963.

Following her schooling, Judy taught in the Town of Winchendon, MA public schools. There, she was a physical education teacher for 34 years until her retirement in 1997. She was a constant supporter who stood for fairness and equality in women's sports.

In 1967, Judy married the love of her life, Bernard J. Lepine.

Judy enjoyed travel and cooking, spending time tending to her garden and the companionship of her cats. She had gained a local reputation for her fine work in the art of stained glass, for which she received a number of private commissioned pieces. Covid captivity taught her the enjoyment of challenging jigsaw puzzles.

Judy will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years: Bernard J. Lepine of Troy, NH; two brothers: Lee Kempton and John Kempton (Donna) both of Nashua, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Judy's wishes, there will be no public services.

It is requested that in Judy's memory, you do a good deed quietly, consider planting a garden, and stop smoking!
