Michael Arsenault

MICHAEL ARSENAULT
June 16, 1969 ~ December 9, 2022 (Age 53)

Michael Arsenault passed away on December 9, 2022 with family and friends by his side. He was born on June 16, 1969, son of the late Andre Arsenault and Ruth Arsenault.

He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved doing things with his family, collecting antiques and collectibles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles.

He is survived by his wife Mary Woods Arsenault, his mother Ruth Arsenault, son Michael Arsenault Jr. and wife Sarah, daughter Kristina Arsenault and significant other Frank Russick, brother Bryan Arsenault, nine grandchildren, Hailey, Michael, Alden, Andrew, and Aliana Arsenault, Robert Shea, Katana Leveque and Ava Arsenault, Jessie Arsenault, and Naomi Russick. He was predeceased by his father Andre Arsenault and brother Roger Arsenault.

A memorial service will take place at the American Legion on January 7th 2023 from 12PM-4PM. Michael's final message to everybody is: Be good at being bad.

Phillip Ricord

PHILLIP RICORD
December 4, 1940 ~ December 22, 2022 (Age 82)

Gardner - Phillip R. Ricord, 82, died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Heywood Hospital after a short illness.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Jeanette (Morin) Ricord, and four children, Joann McColgan and her husband Jim of Tewksbury, Michael Ricord and his wife Beth of Winchendon, John Ricord and his partner, Donna of Winchendon, and Susan Sheridan and her partner Steve of Leominster; ten grandchildren, Meghan, Anthony, Tim, Sarah, Steven, Joshua, Jeremy, Nicole, Daniel, and Jenny; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Paxton; two sisters, Lorraine Adams of Winchendon, and Phyllis St. Pierre of Winchendon.

He is predeceased by two sisters, Jeanette A Blouin and, Sylvia Maliska, and one brother, Richard Ricord.

He was born in Winchendon on December 4, 1940, the son of the late Silva and Alice (Robert) Ricord. He attended Winchendon Schools.

Phillip worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker for a number of contractors; he also worked for Aubouchons early in his career. He lived in Winchendon for most of his life and then lived in Gardner for the last several years. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion and a past commander, the JC’s Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Winchendon Lions Club.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and puttering around the house. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

Sandra J. Peal

SANDRA J. (McMILLEON) PEAL
March 7, 1941 ~ December 10, 2022 (Age 81)

WESTMINSTER - Sandra J. (McMilleon) Peal, 81, a former longtime resident of Westminster, died peacefully Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.

She was born in Leominster on March 7, 1941, daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy Mildred (Merrill) McMilleon and grew up in the Clinton area. She had lived in Westminster for many years until living the last few years in Winchendon and Athol.

Sandra had owned and operated the former Peal’s Flower Shop in Westminster and had worked as a school bus driver for over 30 years for the Westminster School District. She enjoyed gardening. feeding hummingbirds, motorcycling and going to the beach. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She leaves her children, Debra Dahlgren and her wife Linda Bouchard of Phillipston and Tracie Clark and her husband Robert of Calabash, NC and Bruce E. Peal and wife Chandra of Gardner; her longtime companion, Jack Bowler of Winchendon; grandchildren, Lauren Saunders, Kyle Clark, Michael Deslauriers and wife Tabatha, Zachary Richard, Tyler Keough, Luke Peal and Liora Peal and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Peal and four brothers, James McMilleon, Kenneth McMilleon, Brian McMilleon and Bradford McMilleon.

April A. Holmes

APRIL A. HOLMES
December 7, 1978 ~ December 8, 2022 (Age 44)

WINCHENDON - April A. Holmes, 44, of Winchendon, died unexpectdly Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

She was born in Holyoke on December 7, 1978, daughter of Robert Holmes and Louise M. (Reed) Holmes Brouillard. She lived in Holyoke until the age of 21, when she moved to Winchendon.

She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 747 of Gardner and was a member of its pool league. She loved to play cards, bingo, swimming and enjoyed all kinds of music. She was also a member of the Ladies Snowy Supper Club.

April leaves two children, Tyler Smith of Winchendon and Selina Taeggard of Idaho; her brothers and sisters, Jessie Reed of Leominster, Sheri Trimboli of Springfield, Tammi Rich-Flagg of Winchendon and Paul Holmes of Maine; her best friend, Eileen Partain of Winchendon and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Catherine Beers

CATHERINE (COLT) BEERS
April 13, 1934 ~ December 24, 2022 (Age 88)

WINCHENDON - Catherine (Colt) Beers, 88 died Saturday, December 24, 2022 in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, with her family at her side.

She was born in Cornish Flat, New Hampshire on April 13, 1934, daughter of the late Loren and Mildred O’Hara) Colt and had been a resident of Townsend for many years. She had lived in Winchendon since 2002.

A homemaker, Catherine enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching and gardening. She also enjoyed baking pecan pies and decorating birthday cakes. Catherine was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics.

Her husband of 70 years, Charles A. Beers, died February 19, 2022. She leaves three sons; Robert Beers and his wife Van Huynh of Westford, Gary Beers and his wife Jackie of Winchendon and Daniel Beers and his wife Tracie of Rindge, NH; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dale Beers, who died in 2019.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, January 2, 2023 from 5 to 7 P.M.
