Furmaniuk of Winchendon. His son-in-law, John E. Fateiger, predeceased him in 2007.

Frederick was the son of the late Frederick W.H. and Esther M. (Sontag) Rauscher Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton and attended the local public schools. Skip was devoted to his family and delighted in his precious granddaughter, Ashley. He was a kind, loving and generous man with a strong work ethic and a deep Christian faith which gave him great peace and hope.

Frederick and his father operated Rauscher Dairy Farm in Clinton, the roots of which began with his grandfather in 1895. The farming involved caring for dairy cows, processing milk, home milk deliveries, and haying the fields. Skip continued the farming tradition after his father's passing until the barn was destroyed by fire in 1973. Buying raw milk from a neighboring farm, he was able to continue the processing and home deliveries until 1986. He then raised beef cattle and maintained the fields until the Town of Clinton purchased the farm in 2008.

Skip was employed in Clinton by the former Amory Plastics for several years. He retired from The Weetabix Company after 23 years of service in 2006. In retirement, Skip loved being outside working the land, especially cutting trees for firewood and planting a vegetable garden. He so enjoyed time spent with his family, cousins, and friends. Reading non-fiction, especially early American history, was a favorite pastime.

Frederick was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton and Lutheran Church of the Savior in Bedford. He dedicated his efforts in maintenance of church grounds. He so enjoyed talking with his fellow parishioners.

Calling hours will be held at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd. in Sterling on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4 until 7 PM.
