Randy Gallant

RANDY GALLANT
February 19, 1965 ~ May 11, 2023 (Age 81)

Winchendon - Randy J. Gallant, age 58, a resident of Winchendon, MA, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA. He is the devoted husband of Susan Gallant (Carolis).

Randy was born to the late Lorraine Gallant (Daigle) and Albert Gallant on February 19, 1965, in Leominster, where he graduated from high school. He and his wife Susan owned and operated Wheels in Motion in Winchendon until it closed in 2009. He then worked at Troy Arctic Cat for several years. Then on to New England Auto & Truck Recyclers, which is now Fenix Auto Parts.

He will always be remembered for the love and pride he had for his family and friends. He was kind, caring, selfless, and willing to lend a helping hand without hesitation. Randy was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and vivacious spirit. He loved spending time with all of his nieces and nephews, and his many friends. Randy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed many long rides to Vermont with Sue, ATV, and Snowmobile rides, hiking, and fishing, especially at the Quabbin Reservoir.

He is survived by his loving mother Lorraine Daigle, and adoring wife Susan Gallant of 32 years. His Father-in-law, Norman Carolis, loved him like one of his own. His Siblings, Linda Gallant; Debbie Caissie and her significant other, Alphonse Gaudet; his brother Steven and wife Rhonda Gallant; his sister Tammy and her husband Christopher Aubuchon; sister Lisa and her husband Greg Mason; brother and sister-in-law, Erich & Jackie Dick, Caroline and Bernie Maillet, Rob Carolis, and his significant other Becky Eddy Harmon. He leaves his nephews Tyler Gallant and wife Haley; Bruce Gallant and his wife Kristina; Scott Caissie and wife Lisa; Wayne Caisse and partner Amanda Long; Kevin Caisse; Jacob Barrett and wife Emily; Justin Mason, Sebastian & Kristin Dick; Alex Maillet. He leaves nieces Colby Gallant; Alicia Maillet & her fiance Matt Songer. Great Nieces & Nephews, Emma Gallant, Elaina Gallant, Brock Gallant, Kendall Gallant, Kali Gallant, and Olivia Caissie. His close friends such as Allen Cramm, John Dansin, and son John, and too many to name, are deeply saddened by his passing. Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Randy for a period of visitation on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St. Leominster, MA, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Randy on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at St Cecilia's Parish, at 168 Mechanic St, Leominster MA 01453 10:00 AM.

Jeannette M. Mossman

JEANNETTE M. MOSSMAN
April 20, 1941 ~ May 21, 2023 (Age 82)

GARDNER - Jeannette M. (Morin) Mossman, 82, of Gardner, died Sunday, May 21, 2023.

She was born in Winchendon on April 20, 1941, daughter of the late Bertell M. and Marcelle M. (Duval) Morin and was a 1959 graduate of Murdock High School. Jeannette lived in Winchendon until the age of 50 and then moved to Gardner.

Jeannette worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough, NH as a senior technician from 1980 to 2001. Several years later, she worked as senior aide at the Hope House in Gardner. She was a member of Annunciation Parish and was an honorary member of the Society of the Ladies of Saint Anne, and Gardner Museum. She enjoyed pilgrimages to Sainte Anne de Beaupre in Quebec, Canada, vacations in Maine and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a caring and giving person, who helped others.

Her husband of 11 years, Eldred Mossman, died in 2002. She leaves three children, Henry W. Goyette Jr and wife Diane of Houston, TX, Gail A. Blair and husband Richard of Jaffrey, NH and Gary J. Goyette and significant other Lisa Richard of Gardner; two brothers, Phillip J. Morin of Gardner and Maurice G. Morin of Fitchburg; a sister, Peggy A. Morin of Keene, NH; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryant Burns, Corinne Goyette and Marcelle Goyette; step children, Dorrell Ratliff and Eldred Mossman; and great grandchildren, Faith Donnelly, Brennan, Brielle and Beckett Burns and Owen Marshall; grand fur babies, Holly, Lucy, Ally, Tilly and Olive. Three grandchildren, Seanna Donnelly, Steven Goyette and Andrew Goyette, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the funeral.

Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Paul A. Cochran

PAUL A. COCHRAN
July 10, 1931 ~ May 18, 2023 (Age 91)

WINCHENDON - Paul A. Cochran, 91, of Winchendon, passed peacefully after a long illness at his home, Thursday evening May 18, 2023, with his family by his side.

He was born in Winchendon on July 10, 1931, son of the late Roger W. and Olive V.(Graton) Cochran and was a graduate of Murdock High School class of 1949. Paul was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.

Paul proudly served his country as a member of the Unites States Army, in the 25th division, 35th regiment during the Korean War. He received an award for his services.

He enjoyed being with his family, the outdoors, taking trips to the ocean, along with traveling. One of his greatest enjoyments was spending time on his John Deere tractors.

Paul retired from New England Telephone Company, during that time he designed and installed the entire telephone system at Digital in Westminster, MA. He previously worked at Lucent Technologies and AT&T. He was a member of the Eugene M. Connor Post 393 American Legion and Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 VFW of Winchendon. In addition, he was a longtime member of the Otter River Sportsman Club.

His wife, Marilyn A. (Pineault) Cochran, passed in 2013. He leaves three daughters, Paula Whitaker and husband James of Winchendon, Karla O'Malley and her husband Daniel Of Rindge NH and Donna Cochran and her partner Ralph Belletette of Wilson, NC; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother Bruce Cochran of Winchendon along with several nieces and nephews. A great-granddaughter, Harper O'Malley and his brothers, Roger W. Cochran Jr., David S. Cochran, Philip G. Cochran, and Stephen E. Cochran, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5 to 7pm. Members of the Eugene M. Connor Post will conduct legion services Thursday at 6:30pm.

William P. Dustin

WILLIAM P. DUSTIN
September 10, 1933 ~ May 16, 2023 (Age 89)

FITCHBURG - William P. Dustin, 89, of Winchendon formerly of Fitchburg and Falmouth passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the Life Care Center of Leominster.

Bill was born in Malden, on September 10, 1933, a son of the late Arthur B. and Millicent (Hervey) Dustin. He grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School and the former Burdett College in Boston.

Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1957 having attained the rank of Airman 1st Class.

Upon returning home for the service, Bill married and moved to Fitchburg. He went to work at Lincoln Laboratories where he spent over thirty years employed for them serving in several different capacities which allowed him to travel extensively throughout the US, Canada and the South Pacific until his retirement in 1999. He also spent many years bartending and catering.

Following his retirement Bill and his wife moved to Falmouth. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, especially his two granddaughters. They will always fondly remember early mornings at the Cape helping their Buppy make pancakes and helping prepare large holiday meals with many items that are now a family tradition. He was grateful for the five years he and his family spent on Kwajalein Island where he and his wife enjoyed their time on the golf course and days on the beach. Falmouth is where he met his wife of 50 years and those retirement years there brought him much joy.

His wife, Joan Lillian (McGuirl) Dustin died in 2016. He leaves a daughter, Katherine Mary Trick and her husband, Peter, of Winchendon; two grandchildren, Margaret Rose Trick and Abigail Grace Trick, both of Winchendon; two brothers, Frederick Dustin of Peabody and Mark Dustin of Melrose; one sister, Dorothea Tavilla-Holland of West Palm Beach, FL and serval nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Arthur Dustin, who died in 1995; three brothers, Arthur R. Dustin, Bruce Dustin and Thomas Dustin and two sisters, Mary McCarthy and June Burns.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, at 11AM in the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. Burial with military honors will follow in the St. Bernard's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held prior to the service on Friday morning from 9:30 to 11AM.

Rochelle A. Doody

ROCHELLE A. (VAINE) DOODY
April 8, 1937 ~ May 19, 2023 (Age 86)

WINCHENDON - Rochelle A. (Vaine) Doody, 86, of Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, May 19, 2023 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville.

She was born in Winchendon on April 8, 1937, daughter of the late Ovila and Ruth G. (Bushey) Vaine and was a 1955 graduate of Murdock High School. Rochelle was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.

Rochelle had worked for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper in the family business, Doody Vault Company, until her retirement. Many years ago, she worked at Central Pharmacy and at N & R Trophy Co. She was a member of the United Parish and Eugene M. Connor Post American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of various women's bowling leagues in earlier years.

Her husband of 59 years, Henry L. Doody, died in 2019. He leaves two sons, Eric L. Doody and wife Wendy of Westminster and David A. Doody of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Alexis, Mitchell and Clayton and three great grandchildren, Beckett, Hayden and Emerson; a brother, Steven C. Vaine of Winchendon; two sisters, Nancy L. Toothaker of N.H. and Linda S. Tobia of Winchendon and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Carol J. Schrawder, preceded her in death.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Lillian A. Diehl

LILLIAN A. (HALL) DIEHL
May 16, 1927 ~ May 20, 2023 (Age 96)

Lillian A. (Hall) Diehl, of Danvers, MA, formerly of Winchendon, passed away peacefully on May 20th with her family at her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph G. Diehl Jr. Born in Winchendon, MA on May 16, 1927, Lillian was the daughter of the late Thera M. (Goddard) Hall and Everett W. Hall. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday.

Lillian was a 1945 graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon. She graduated from New England School of Art in Boston in 1948. Following graduation, she worked as a commercial artist with Vincent Edwards of Boston and General Electric of Schenectady, NY. A homemaker for many years, Lillian raised 5 children and later worked for over 25 years at Hotwatt Inc. of Danvers.

She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Lillian was always busy. If not painting or wallpapering, she would enjoy reading history books--the U.S. Civil War of particular interest. She loved jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles, but a popular activity was always a cup of tea with family, where a laugh and a story would go along with her always sound advice. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her refrigerator was covered with photos of all the kids.

She is survived by her children, Ralph G. Diehl III and his wife Sandra of Winchendon; Amy E. VanRite and her husband Robert of Bowie, MD; Martha J. Driscoll and her husband James of Danvers, MA; two daughters in law, Cynthia Diehl of Sandwich, NH and Cheri Diehl of Vernal, Utah; and her sister in law, Yvonne Harrington of Winchendon. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Anton B. Diehl and Stephen R. Diehl.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. A calling hour will precede the funeral Saturday from 11 AM to Noon.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.

Delma M. Goguen

DELMA M. GOGUEN
December 12, 1933 ~ May 20, 2023 (Age 89)

GARDNER - Delma M. (Jaillet) Goguen, 89, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, with her family at her side.

She was born in Gardner on December 12, 1933, daughter of the late Henry and Madeleine (Allain) Jaillet and was a lifelong resident of Gardner.

Delma had worked at the Barre Mill in 1963 and 1964 and provided child care and elderly care through the years. Her primary focus was being a wonderful wife and mother.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Aldrice O. Goguen; children, Debra Bolduc of Templeton, Marlene Gallant of Rexton, New Brunswick, Canada, Susan Monette of Gardner and Rachel Taft of Winchendon; her brothers, Norman Jaillet of Sebastapol, CA, Henry Jaillet Jr of Santa Rosa, CA and Gerry Jaillet of Carson City, Nevada,; a sister, Stella Doucette of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Moriah Marable of Worcester, Micah Bolduc, Cameron Monette of Gardner and Dylan Monette of Gardner; great grandchildren, Mathias Marable of Mascotte, FL, Machijah Marable of Worcester, Marquise Marable of Worcester and Mia Marable of Worcester; one great great grandchild, Zaniyah Marable of Mascotte, FL. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Aldrice O. Goguen Jr and a daughter, Michelle L. Goguen; two sisters, Irene Danielson and Lorraine Michaelwicz and two brothers, Edmond Jaillet and Raymond Jaillet.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
