Juliette D. Floria

JULIETTE D. (ST. PIERRE) FLORIA
February 5, 1928 ~ June 1, 2023 (Age 95)

WINCHENDON - Juliette D. (St. Pierre) "DeeDee" Floria, 95, of Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with her family at her side.

She was born in Winchendon on February 5, 1928, daughter of the late Francois X. and Sarah G. (Berard) St. Pierre and was a resident of Winchendon and Rindge, NH for most of her life.

Juliette worked at the former Winchendon Fashions for many years as a seamstress. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eugene M. Connor Post 393 American Legion and VFW. Her hobbies included collecting post cards, knitting, reading, antiquing, painting, crocheting and playing bingo. She had been a volunteer in the Winchendon Elementary School helping young readers. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her husband, Robert F. Floria, died in 1988. She leaves two children, Marjorie Floria of Dublin, CA and Jayne Scarrell and partner Kurt Belletete of Peterborough, NH; four grandchildren, Thomas Floria, John Brouillet, Jennifer Robillard and Erin Floria; three great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Rico and Alexcina and a son-in-law, Bernard Brouillet. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two children, Robert Floria Jr. and Carol Brouillet, as well as all of her brothers and sisters, Francois X. St. Pierre Jr., Ernest St. Pierre, Phillip St. Pierre, Eugene St. Pierre, Alta Whalen, Lucille Zatowski, Marjorie Liimatainen and Helen Tucker.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

NELLIE L. BREWER
March 5, 1964 ~ June 2, 2023 (Age 59)

ERVING, MA - Nellie L. Brewer, 59, of Mountain Road, died on Friday evening, June 2, 2023 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center Campus in Worcester following a brief illness.

Born in Gardner on March 5, 1964, she was the daughter of James W. and Louise (Herr) Brewer and grew up in Winchendon and attended Winchendon Schools.

Nellie worked for Standard Chair in Gardner as a sander for over 30 years, retiring in 2020.

In 2013, Nellie moved to Erving to live with her partner, Tommy Savage, and she loved the farm.

Nellie loved the outdoors, especially the Lake Dennison area. She also loved caring for others, especially her mother, nephews and nieces. Her cat, Autumn, meant the world to her and enjoyed the cat's antics.

Nellie is survived by her long time partner with whom she lived with, Tommy Savage, of Erving; her mother, Louise Brewer of Winchendon; her siblings, Betty Taft of Winchendon, James "Jim" Brewer Jr. of Winchendon, Paul Brewer and his wife, Zelina, of Illinois, Mike Brewer and his wife, Anne, of Winchendon, Jeff Brewer and his wife, Cindy, of Winchendon, and Danny Brewer of Winchendon; her aunts and uncles, Donald Herr and his wife, Jeanette, of Westminster, Linda Dembeck and her husband, Bruce, of Gardner, Cindy Parks of Winchendon and Lorrie Herr of Winchendon; and several nephews and nieces.

Nellie was predeceased by her father, James W. Brewer Sr. in March 1988, as well an uncle, David Herr, a sister in law, Lucy Brewer, and a brother in law, Larry Taft.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Erving Center Cemetery, corner of West Main St. (Route 2) and Mountain Road, Erving.

Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.

Matthew Cocuzza

MATTHEW COCUZZA
January 27, 1952 ~ May 7, 2023 (Age 71)

Husband, Father, Papa, Grandpa, Friend

Matt passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7th surrounded by his beloved family. He was the salt of the earth, a loving husband, and devoted father.

Matt was born in IndianTown Gap, Pa. to Maria (Michaelides) and Salvatore Cocuzza on January 27th, 1952.

In addition to working his entire life at Munksjo (Fitchburg) Paper for 40+ years, he was also a coach and the cheering squad for all of his children's sports.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Joyce Cocuzza (Dumont). His 4 cherished children and their families. Michel Cocuzza husband Pedro Soto-Cruz and their 2 children; Will and Anthony Soto. Robin Dion, her husband Eric, and their 3 daughters; Ava, Lea, and Ella. Mathew Cocuzza and his wife Jennifer along with their 4 children; Isabelle, Olivia, Emily, and Thomas. His daughter Melissa Vautour and husband Jeremy and their 2 children; Michael and Hailey-Lyn.

Matt also leaves behind his sister, Sandra Cocuzza Howard and her husband. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Daley and her husband Richard. He also leaves 3 sisters-in-law Diane Bates, husband Robert, Jane DesJardins, husband Steven, and Debra Dumont and one brother-in-law Michael Dumont, wife Teresa. Mathew also had so many nieces and nephews that he adored. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at a later date and will be private.
