Karen Gemme Allard

KAREN GEMME ALLARD
January 30, 1960 ~ June 28, 2023 (Age 63)

Karen Gemme Allard, age 63, of Windsor Locks, CT, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2023. She was born on January 30, 1960, in Springfield, MA. Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

In her youth, Karen was full of life and excitement. She had a contagious smile, a wild sense of humor, and was full of love. Karen had a healing energy that filled you with warmth. She left a lasting impact on the lives she touched.

Karen is survived by her cherished and beloved daughter, Shaina Cunningham, as well as her grandson, Quintin, and granddaughter, Sienna of Winchendon, MA. She is also survived by her sister's Linda and husband Steve Cole of Enfield, Debbie Foley of East Windsor and Cindy Gemme of Windsor Locks. She had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Gemme, and her brother, Joey Gemme.

To honor Karen's memory, a gathering for her family and friends will be held in celebration of her life. Details will be provided in the near future.

She will be remembered and celebrated as the beautiful soul that Karen Gemme Allard was. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Phyllis Addie Ward

PHYLLIS ADDIE (PRIEST) WARD
June 16, 2023 (Age 92)

Phyllis Addie (Priest) Ward, 92 of Melbourne, FL, who grew up in Winchendon, passed peacefully June 16 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL, after a brief illness. Mrs. Ward was the daughter of the late Bernice Addie Piper and Robert Earle Priest of Winchendon. She is survived by her son, Robert Mitchell Ward of Melbourne, FL; sister, Reta Warman of Brookfield; brother-in-law Tommy (Mary) Ward of Birmingham, AL, and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Hilliard Grady Ward, Jr.; brothers Stewart, Mardis, Stanley, George and Chester Priest and sisters Ina Robbins and Arlene Prueser.

Mrs. Ward was born in East Barnard, VT, but her family relocated to Winchendon while she was very young. She was a 1948 graduate of Murdock High School, where she was involved in several school activities, including playing cornet in the Murdock band for four years. She was also an active member of the Winchendon Church of the Unity and participated in the American Unitarian Youth group there. After high school, she attended Bryant and Stratton in Boston in the secretarial program. On a whim, she and several of her friends took a test to work for the US Government. When she passed, she left the program early and went to work for the Bureau of Yards and Docks, a branch of the Navy, in Washington, DC. It was there that she met her future husband on a blind date.

A memorial service will be held at The Fountains of Melbourne, where she had resided for the last several years, on July 8 at 2:00. She and her husband will be interred at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon at a future date.

Lorraine Mae Rissignol

LORRAINE MAE (MORGAN) ROSSIGNOL
February 17, 1932 ~ June 9, 2023 (Age 91)

Winchendon-Lorraine Mae (Morgan) Rossignol, 91, died Friday, June 9, 2023, at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home in Gardner after an illness.

She was the wife of the late, Emilio G. Rossignol.

Lorraine leaves one son, Carey Rossignol, of Winchendon, one daughter, Bonita Robinson of Pace, FL, four grandchildren (Amanda, Adam, Brian and David), five brothers, Mickey Morgan, Gary Morgan both of CT, Mayo Morgan of Kansas (deceased), Donald Morgan of ME, and Barry Morgan of FL; three sisters, Louise Gould of ME, Lucille Sides of FL (deceased) and Henrietta Bouchard of ME (deceased); 3 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was born on February 17, 1932, a daughter of the late, Donald and Henrietta (Martin) Morgan. She worked for Nypro Plastic Company in Clinton for 30 years.

She died with her family by her side after a long illness. The simplest pleasures in life gave Lorraine joy. She loved her Sunday family dinners and baking delicious cakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the holidays, especially Christmas, where the gifts were endless. She loved gardening and decorating, especially painting. She loved to crochet and sew and made many gifts for others throughout the years. Her and Emilio loved ballroom dancing. They were married 63 years when he passed away in 2014. Lorraine will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Lorraine's funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
