BRENDA E. (MARTIN) DUVAL
August 15, 1942 ~ October 6, 2023 (Age 81)

Brenda E. (Martin) Duval, born on August 15, 1942, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, died October 6, 2023 at her home after an illness.

Brenda graduated from Murdock High School in 1960 and then stepped into the workforce, holding positions at New England Telephone, CO., Vello Ots Mobile Lunch, and small local furniture manufacturing businesses doing decorative painting. She was resilient and determined, always working with a smile on her face and a song in her heart. In addition to being a loving caretaker and homemaker, she was a passionate hobbyist who found solace in the art of painting, the tranquility of gardening, and the joy of cooking. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she found spiritual comfort and a community that adored her. Brenda was a woman of strong faith, reading her bible daily and participated in many Bible study groups over the decades.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Renee Duval, son Martin Duval, and granddaughter Elizabeth Duval all of Winchendon. She also leaves her sister Beverly Johnson of Florida. Sister in laws Marie Gouslin and Annette Grenier, brother in law Edward Roy, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Duval, her parents, Marshall and Regina Martin, and her brothers, Marshall and Frank Martin.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 13, 2023 at 9:30am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 18 Pleasant St., Baldwinville, MA 01436. Burial will follow at 11:00am in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
