JAMES D LIVESAY
June 19, 1953 ~ December 31, 2023 (Age 70)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James David Livesay, on December 31, 2023. Born in Clinton, MA on June 19, 1953, son of Clyde and Anita Benware. James lived a life that was as full and vibrant as his personality. He made his home in Winchendon, Massachusetts, where he touched countless lives with his wit, humor, and infectious energy. James found his calling as a truck driver, a role he cherished for over 33 years, even establishing his own successful business, Ballard Hill Transportation in Lancaster.

James was a man of many passions, from fishing and riding motorcycles to repairing automobiles. He was a dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and NASCAR. He also had a competitive streak, including long-distance motorcycle riding, and demolition derbies, showcasing his enduring spirit and zest for life. He was a committed patriot, serving his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army, a reflection of his commitment and love for his country. He was a hardworking man who made sure his family was well provided for. Yet, his greatest joy was found in the company of his family, playing cribbage and games with his beloved grandchildren. And James gave love, laughter, and countless memories to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He often offered his opinion and earned the nickname "Lippy"

"There never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them. Jim Croce"

James is survived by his loving wife, Paula (Legros) Livesay; his children James "Jamie" Livesay II (Michelle), Karen Livesay, and Christopher Livesay (Lyndsey Miller); his grandchildren Ryan, Jack, Collin, and Olivia; his siblings Kenneth Livesay (Deborah Zipkin), Richard (Scarlett) Livesay, and his sister-in-law, Tina Livesay; many nieces, nephews, cousins and several aunts and uncles; as well as his beloved companion JoJo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Anita Benware, and his brothers, Russell JR and Kevin Livesay.
