THONG PHATTHAMMACHACK
April 2, 1959 ~ January 17, 2024 (Age 64)

Thong Phatthammachack, a beloved father, husband, and grandfather, departed this life on January 17, 2024. Born in Laos on April 2, 1959. Often fondly remembered as the diligent sander at M.H. Parks Furniture Co. in Winchendon, his craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by all who knew him.

Thong is survived by his loving wife, Bouavone Douangmany, and children, Jamie, Eric, Melissa, and Panita Phatthammachack. His grandsons, Brody and Bryce Phatthammachack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Khem and Boua Phatthammachack.

Calling hours will be held at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.

A graveside service will be conducted at 180 Grove Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 am.

GLENN J. "BUTCH" DELLASANTA
June 4, 1945 ~ January 27, 2024 (Age 78)

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Glenn J "Butch" Dellasanta, born on June 4, 1945, in Fitchburg, MA, and a lifelong resident of Winchendon. He was a proud 1963 graduate of Murdock High School. Glenn was known for his hard work and dedication, serving over 30 years as a loader and truck driver for Mass Highway and Willard Brook. His love for his community extended beyond his profession, as he was an active member of the Winchendon Golf Club and the Clark Memorial.

Glenn was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately cheering for New England sports teams. He also enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family, especially during his grandchildren's sporting events. Glenn is survived by his son Antonio Dellasanta, daughter Nikki Adams, grandchildren Primo Dellasanta, Samantha Adams, Angelina Dellasanta, and brother Louis Dellasanta, and his wife "Mickey"; and two nephews, Mark Dellasanta and Erik Dellasanta. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oddo and Virginia Dellasanta.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. His burial will be in the spring due to the Cemetery being closed for the winter.

James E. Mack

JAMES E. MACK
October 29, 1932 ~ January 25, 2024 (Age 91)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James E. Mack, known to his friends and family as Jim, on January 25, 2024.

Born on October 29, 1932, in Fitchburg, MA, as the second of twin sons born to the late Edward J. and Florence A. (Hanks) Mack. Jim grew up in Ashburnham and lived an extraordinarily creative and humble life. He was a man of deep faith and a dedicated parishioner of the former St. Joseph's Church in Gardner and Annunciation Parish Gardner. His life was defined by his love for his longtime companion Donald Boyd, family, and friends.

A graduate of Fitchburg High School, Jim earned his Eagle Scout in 1948. He went on to graduate from New England Institute of Applied Health and Funeral Sciences in Boston, Jim was a funeral director and worked with his brother, Jack for many years before pursuing his career as a florist. Jim was a talented florist, bringing joy to many through his work as the owner of the former James E. Mack Florist in Gardner; he then relocate for a time to St. Petersburg, FL where he owned a shop of the same name before retiring and returning back to Gardner to be closer to his family. In his retirement, he worked part-time for the John H. Mack Funeral Home and at Holmes-Shusas Florist in Worcester for his dear friends Paul and Christine Shusas.

An individual of countless talents, Jim loved working with flowers, gardening, cooking, and decorating. He was loving and had a keen eye for beauty, evident in his passion for Christmas decorating, attending county fairs and band concerts, and trips to Maine. As Maya Angelou once said, "You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." Jim's creativity was indeed limitless, flowing into his hobbies and work, enriching the lives of those around him.

Jim resided for many years at Heywood Commons, a community where he enjoyed living and established many friendships. Jim spent his final two years bravely battling Parkinson's disease and recently resided at The Highlands in Fitchburg.

James is survived by his twin brother John H. "Jack" Mack and his wife Mary of Gardner; his sister, Nancy Rosbury of Ashburnham; nieces and nephews, Judy A. Mack of Gardner who was his devoted caregiver for many years, Jane E. Emmett and her husband David of Kingsland, GA , Brian E. Mack and his wife Dr. Ellen M. Ray of Winchendon, Kevin J. Mack and his wife Michele of Westminster, Susan Christianson and her husband Matt of Ashburnham, Robert E. "Bud" Rosbury, Jr. and his wife Christine of Gardner, Elizabeth "Penny " Rosbury of Ashburnham, Patricia "Tricia" Dyer and her husband John of Gardner, and Marcia Rosbury-Henne and her husband Jim of Orange; as well as many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ret. Col. Margaret M. Mack, his brother-in-law Robert E. Rosbury, Sr. and his dear and longtime companion, Donald N. Boyd.

We will honor James's life with a visitation on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4:30-7:00 PM at Mack Family Funeral Homes, located at 105 Central Street, Gardner, Massachusetts, 01440. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Church, located at 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner, Massachusetts, 01440. Burial will be private at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activities Fund of The Highlands Nursing Home, 335 Nichols Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420-please put Attn: Activities Director and reference James E. Mack in the memo section. The funds will be used to have an outside summer concert for residents as Jim enjoyed sitting in the courtyard.

David H. Goewey

DAVID H. GOEWEY
November 4, 1954 ~ January 22, 2024 (Age 69)

David Harold Goewey, loving husband, brother, and loyal friend, passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 69. Born in Winchendon, MA on November 4, 1954, David's life was defined by his talent for woodworking and his unwavering loyalty to those he held dear.

David dedicated five decades of his life to M.H. Parks Furniture Company in Winchendon , MA until his retirement in 2020. David's talent extended beyond his job at the furniture company. In his youth, he worked at Birchhill Snowmobiles with Charlie Higgins. He also ran his own sheet metal and repair shop where he worked on race cars with Adam Brooks, Alan Monette and many others.

David's life was not solely defined by his work, he also had many hobbies. David enjoyed camping, Nascar, bowling, cooking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Goewey, his sister Candace (Richard) Caron, his cousin Lenny (Katie) Brooks, his sister-in-law Gina Paul, brother-in-law Richard (Yvonne) Goewey, sister-in-law Eleanor (Robert) Gauthier, sister-in-law Barbara Paul, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. All of whom will remember him for his thoughtfulness, love, and loyalty.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Goewey and Katherine Goewey. David's greatest joy was taking care of the ones he loved. This unwavering love and commitment were evident in everything he did, from his dedication to his work to his relationships with his family and friends.

A visitation for David will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA. An in-house funeral will follow at 7:00 pm at the same venue. As we gather to remember David, we will celebrate his life and the wonderful memories he has left behind.

December 5, 1943 ~ January 15, 2024 (Age 80)

Heidi Marie Morse (Kurschner) Heidi Marie Morse, 80 of Gardner, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2024.

She was born on December 5, 1943, in Ketsch, Germany, the daughter of the late Geb. Pister and Elfriede Luise Kurschner. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Charles E Morse Jr, her eldest son Andy Morse, and her two brothers Willie and Fritz Kurschner. She is survived by her son, Steve Morse of Athol, MA., and two daughters, Marsha Morse of Fitchburg, MA. Kelly Weaver and her husband CJ of Rindge, NH. Six grandchildren, Sally Fischett and her husband Cody of Winchendon, MA. Steven Morse and his significant other Miasia Baldwin of Gardner, MA. Christa Morse and her significant other Edwardo Jimenez of Gardner, MA. Dallas Shaw of Gardner, MA, Ariel Smith of Leominster, MA., and Ryson Weaver of Rindge, NH. Nine great-grandchildren, Liam McDonald, Cody Jr, Wyatt, and Axel Fischett of Winchendon, MA. Linnaya, Ava, and Jakobie Morse of Gardner, MA. and Cecelia and Amelia Jimenez of Gardner, MA.

There will be a brief service on Friday, February 2,2024 at 10:00 am, in the Chapel at the Veteran's Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St. Winchendon, Massachusetts.
