Alan Jerome Carton

ALAN JEROME CARTON
November 17, 1962 ~ April 30, 2024 (Age 70)

Alan Jerome Carton, of Winchendon, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at the age of ​70. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole Carton (nee Sachs); his caring sons, Andrew (Meghan) Carton, and Michael Carton; devoted mother, Jean Carton; loving sister Cheryl Carton, and adoring granddaughter Autumn Carton. He was predeceased by his loving daughter, Courtney Carton; and devoted father, Bernard Carton.

Services at Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, Maryland 21208, on Monday, May 6th, 2024, at 1 pm. Interment at Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), online at jdrf.org.

Jeannette M. Roy

JEANNETTE M. ROY
June 17, 1926 ~ May 2, 2024 (Age 97)

Jeannette Marie Roy, a lifelong resident of Winchendon, Massachusetts, was born on June 17, 1926, and peacefully departed this world on May 2, 2024.

She was the cherished daughter of the late William and Gertrude Marquis. Jeannette was a stalwart figure in her family and community, working diligently in the ice cream freezer manufacturing industry before her well-earned retirement. She carried her strong work ethic into every facet of her life, embodying the adage, "A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work."

Jeannette is survived by her loving children: Philip Roy and his wife Elaine, Gail Paradise and her husband Robert: six grandchildren; Richard Roy and his wife Kelly, Christine Kilgore and her husband Ian, Geoffrey Long and his wife Sara, Matthew Long, Adam Long, Michael Paradise and his wife Jenna; her great-grandchildren; a special niece Lynn Ruschioni, and nephew, Wayne Cochran, and many other nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughter Ann Long, and her siblings, Walter Marquis, Lillian Diotalevi Phyllis Morris, Shirley Cochran, William Marquis, Jr, Alfred Marquis, Carol Richards, and Elizabeth Martin. Her legacy of strength, resilience, and love continues to live on in them. In her personal life, Jeannette was known for her kindness, her good sense of humor, and her ability to make the best out of any situation. She was a woman of great integrity and honor, a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose and meaning.

Wayne Launier

WAYNE LAUNIER
October 24, 1947 ~ April 29, 2024 (Age 76)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne A. Launier on April 29, 2024, after a long battle with diabetes since 2019, He was born in Winchendon, on October 25, 1947. A proud resident of Templeton, Massachusetts, Wayne was a beloved figure in his community, known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was a devoted father and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Wayne's love for the outdoors was evident in his passions: as an avid motorcyclist, hunter, and deep-sea fisherman, he found the greatest joy in the beauty of nature.

Wayne was a dedicated professional, having spent his career as a highly respected meat cutter at several grocery stores, a talent he learned from his father. He worked for Donelan's in Littleton, the Gardner Co-Op, IGA, Food Farm, and Big D. His work ethic, commitment, and expertise in his craft were unmatched. A graduate of Murdock High School, Class of 1965, he was an integral part of his community. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard After living in Winchendon all his life, Wayne moved to Baldwinville in 1997, where he continued to contribute his skills and passion to his community. He helped several people get their social security benefits.

Wayne also loved to garden, he grew amazing tomato plants and other vegetables. He was known by his neighbors as the Tomato King. Wayne was an avid Bruins fan, his favorite player was Terry O'Riely.

Wayne is survived by his loving son, William A. Launier; a sister, Lyndale Spencer. He is predeceased by his father, William C. Launier, his mother, Gloria Dunchus, and his cherished wife of 23 years, Joanne Roby. Wayne's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.

William Eddy Jr

WILLIAM "BILL" EDDY JR.
January 23, 1967 ~ April 10, 2024 (Age 76)

Gardner-William Forest Eddy, Jr. died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital, in Worcester after a long battle with multiple illnesses.

He was born in Athol, MA on January 23, 1967. Attended Monty Tech in Fitchburg.

Bill Continued his education receiving his GED and then received his certificate in auto mechanics. He Worked at Mathieu Ford in Winchendon for many years.

William leaves his wife and life time partner of 29 years, Jessica Lee (Wilson) Eddy; His children, William III, Joshua, Shawna and Devin. Two step children Dwayne Jr. And Alyssa. Fourteen grandchildren, Cassidy, Ava, Emma, Landen, Cynthia, Aydehen, Aubriella, Avery, Aylanie, Alayna, Lillian, Madison, Reed and Cayden; one great-grandson; his parents, William Forest Eddy, Sr., and Pamela (Faye) Eddy; two brothers, Timothy and wife Tessa, and Dwayne and wife Cheryl: one sister, Allison Ostlund husband Al and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his oldest daughter Chawntell and both sets of grandparents.

Bill had a Passion for the Civil War and Dodge muscle cars. His favorite car was his Black 1969 Dodge Charger. He enjoyed Collecting Star Wars Items, civil war memorabilia, old guns, and Loved WW2 history. His Hobbies were, fishing, camping, building model cars & Planes , shooting, watching westerns.

Elizabeth Marton

ELIZABETH MARTIN
February 11, 1936 ~ May 2, 2024 (Age 88)

Elizabeth "Betty" (Marquis) Martin, 88, of Gansevoort, NY, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 2nd at Wesley Health Center in Saratoga Springs NY. She was a resident of Gansevoort, New York but held fond memories of her hometown, Winchendon, MA. Betty was a courageous woman, never afraid to face life's challenges head-on. Despite never formally employed, she dedicated her life to raising her family, a testament to her loving nature.

Betty was married to her husband Robert Martin until his untimely death in 1976. Betty is survived by her children, Keith (Marie) Martin, Kevin Martin, Brian (Chris) Martin, Robin (Michael) Martin, and Lori (Corey) Martin. She was a doting grandmother to twelve grandchildren and a great-grandmother to twenty-four great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were blessed to have her in their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude Marquis; her siblings, Lillian Diotalevi, Jeannette Roy, Carol Richards, Phyllis Morris, Shirley Cochran, Walter Marquis, Alfred Marquis, and William Marquis; and her son, Gary Martin.

Betty's life was a testament to the power of family and love. She took joy in spending time with her family, and what mattered most to her was her children and grandchildren. Her legacy of love and courage will live on in those who knew her and loved her.
