Winchendon Schools Cancels Thanksgiving Football Game
On Wednesday, November 17, Murdock Athletic Director Jenna Whitaker announced that the traditional Thanksgiving Day high school football game would not be taking place.
"After much deliberation amongst coaches, the Superintendent, and myself, it was determined that between injuries and those out due to Covid protocols, we are not able to field a team for the Thanksgiving Day Game," Ms. Whitaker wrote. "Our sincerest apologies, and we look forward to getting back to normal next year. Our boys had a tremendous season, and we are all very proud of them, especially our seniors who will not be returning next season. We wish you all the best of luck and will miss you next year.
"I wish everyone a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving."

Murdock Musical Show Live Performance Cancelled--Show Livestreamed and Available on YouTube
The prospect of a live musical performance at Murdock Middle High School was dashed when rising COVID numbers within the district forced the production to be closed to the public. But the show must go on! Student performers, wearing masks, performed the show "All Together Now!" as a live-streamed event. The recorded show is now up on the Blue Devils YouTube channel:
