Friday 6/7: Tuscan salmon, orzo, Capri vegetable blend, multigrain bread, cookie.

The Winchendon Senior Center vans are available to Winchendon residents 55 years old and older, for local transportation to shopping, social events, medical appointments, and similar activities, with priority given to medical appointments. The van is available for longer distance medical runs to Worcester and surrounding towns. Please call the Senior Center at least 24 hours in advance to reserve the van.

The Senior Center is open Monday – Thursday, 8:30am to 2:30pm, and Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm.

GALA Hosting Terracotta Planter Face Painting Workshop At the Senior Center

Instructors Deb Giordano and Meghan Whitehead will lead a "Make Your Own Style" workshop on painting a face on a terracotta planter pot on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Old Murdock Senior Center, 52 Murdock Ave., Winchendon. Cost is $15 per person, all materials included. On Saturday, bring your own lunch.

When the class is over you will take home a beautiful Frida or a flower/headwrap planter with shades, including live plants. You may also bring any materials to you want to use to design your own planter.

Winchendon Musician Bob Jordan Launches 2024 Season

Winchendon musician Bob Jordan will be performing at over 50 Farmer's Markets this 2024 season, at over a dozen locations in North Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

"I'm very lucky to be able to play so often during the day at outdoor locations", says Jordan, whose 500-song repertoire includes Folk, Rock, Country, R'n'B, novelties and original songs. Each 2-3 hour Market allows Bob to play from 40 to 60 songs per Gig, with new songs being added weekly.

At the Holden, Templeton, Phillipston and Ashburnham Markets, Jordan is the only entertainer for the whole season.

The music is financed by customer tips, with support from the Markets and Local Cultural councils (Holden,Rutland, West Boylston, Templeton, Royalston, Phillipston, Orange, Westminster, and Petersham) administered by the Mass Cultural Council (with funds supplied by the purchase of Lottery tickets.)

HEAL Winchendon Offering Financial Coaching Workshops

HEAL Winchendon, in conjunction with the Winchendon CAC, is offering a free financial coaching program to any residents who are interested. The program runs for eight weeks with a flexible schedule and is available in both English and Spanish. Trailer Park Murder Mystery Dinner Benefiting Ahimsa Haven Rescue 6:00-9:00 p.m. It's The Annual W.T Trailer Park BBQ and this year's blast is going to be one to remember. Well known in the community and by the law enforcement agencies for its after-hours fights, double-crossings, and illegal happenings, this BBQ is the reciepe for disaster. With too much history and not enough space, something is bound to happen to send one of the guests over the edge....another one to their death. Tickets include the mystery show, a buffet dinner ( vegetarian option available, please email us) and dessert. Display ads must run for a minimum of one week. Payment is required at the time ads are submitted. Graphics should be high resolution and ads must be readable on a cell phone screen.
