GARDNER, MA - March 31, 2025 - The Douglas & Isabelle Crocker Foundation has awarded the MWCC Foundation $5,000 in funding to support the Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC)'s Child Watch Program.

"We are immensely grateful for the amount of support we have received for this essential service," notes MWCC President James Vander Hooven. "Supporting student-parents in their educational journey not only increases their chances of success but demonstrates that college is a possibility to their children."

The Crocker Foundation award will support the expansion of the Child Watch Program which supports student-parents as they pursue their educational goals. The MWCC Child Watch is a supervised place where registered and eligible students can safely leave their child(ren) for up to four hours while they attend class, study, meet with their advisor, or receive tutoring. Student-parents must remain on campus and be reachable by cell phone while their child is in the Child Watch and return to the Child Watch if they are needed.
