Following graduation, Lorrie taught nursing at Mass General Hospital in Boston and later at the Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bermuda, where she met her husband, the late Lt. Colonel Robert A. Glovins. While in the Air Force, Lorrie and her family moved throughout the country, stationed at numerous bases. After Robert's passing in 1975, Lorrie returned to college and obtained her Master's in Psychology Counseling and became a guidance counselor at Nashoba Regional High School. Upon her retirement from Nashoba, Lorrie spent her time serving as a family mediator in the Gardner District court system and took law courses at MWCC. She also volunteered at Henry Heywood Hospital for many years, where she was a member of the Ethics Board and organized the student volunteer program. Lorrie was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2018 in recognition of her contributions to the hospital.

As anyone who met Lorrie knew, she loved people and cared for them deeply. Her greatest love was spending time with family and friends, especially on vacations in Ogunquit, Maine, with happy hour everyday at 4:00 pm. Lorrie loved playing golf, painting, and meeting with her good friends every month for a current events discussion group. She was always a strong believer in a good education for everyone.

Lorrie was predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents, her sister Marie Eleanor and husband Wallace Suchocki, and her very good friend Richard Townsend.

Lorrie is survived by her children, York Glovins and wife Wanda, Keith Glovins and wife Lisa, and daughter Colleen Glovins Casey, as well as 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas LaRosa, known to many as Buddy, on December 12th, 2025. Born in Manhattan, New York, on October 6, 1949, to Nathaniel and Eva LaRosa, Thomas was an adventurous soul who embraced life passionately. He was a man of ambition and a compassionate spirit, whose generosity knew no bounds.

Thomas moved from New York to Winchendon, Massachusetts, where he became a cherished pillar of the community. He was married to the love of his life, Terry, on December 1, 1973, and together they built a beautiful life steeped in love and shared experiences. Thomas's professional life was marked by a successful career at M. Kamenstein, a spice company, where he served as the Director of Operations until his retirement in 2007. With his wife, he also owned and operated a beloved ice cream business in their small town called TJ's Ice Cream Parlor. Ambitious in every endeavor, he proved himself a capable and respected leader.

Known for his adventurous spirit, Thomas found joy in traveling, golfing, and watching football. But what mattered most to him was spending time with his family and friends. His compassionate nature extended to all who knew him, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
