Cheryl P. Sevigny

CHERYL P. SEVIGNY
December 31, 1953 ~ May 12, 2022 (Age 68)

WINCHENDON – Cheryl P. (Wiles) Sevigny, 68, of Winchendon, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 in UMASS Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, from a lifelong battle of Crohn's Disease.

She was born in Franklin County Hospital, Greenfield MA on December 31, 1953, daughter of the late Amos and Stella (Litskoski) Wiles. She has lived in Winchendon since 1972.

She was the secretary of her husband's business, David L. Sevigny Inc., until she retired due to her illness. Cheryl avidly contributed to youth sports in Winchendon, the Winchendon Fire Department, and the D.A.R.E program. She was always an active member in the community and gave back. She also took part in the Desert shield/storm support group founded in Winchendon.

Cheryl enjoyed collecting bears, reading, watching Boston sports and Joyce Meyers, she also enjoyed doing Search a Word puzzles and most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Her husband of 33 years, David L. Sevigny Sr, died in 2005.

She leaves her children, David L. Sevigny Jr and wife Racheal of Winchendon, Richard A. Sevigny and wife Tina of Winchendon, Anthony W. Sevigny of Winchendon, Michael J. Sevigny of Fitchburg, Cathleen C. Sevigny and husband Patrick Allaire of Winchendon, Patricia A. Baranoski and husband Craig of Orange, Diane M. Staples and husband Nicholas of Winchendon and Mary A. Sevigny of Winchendon; a sister, Maryann Gaimari of Enfield, CT; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward N. Gagne and Herbert Wiles and a sister Cecelia Gagne and two grandchildren Anthony M. Sevigny and Addison L. Sevigny.

Funeral services will be private.

Charles D. Couture

CHARLES D. "DAVE" COUTURE
January 2, 1936 ~ May 18, 2022 (Age 86)

WINCHENDON - Charles D. "Dave" Couture, 86, of Winchendon, died peacefully Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, with his family at his side.

He was born in Winchendon on January 2, 1936, son of the late Henry and Adelle (Locke) Couture and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.

Dave had worked as a furniture sprayer at Standard Chair in Gardner and later worked for ten years in housekeeping at Heywood Hospital. His hobby was hunting for golf balls. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

His wife of 46 years, Candace (Piper) Couture, died in 2012. He leaves five children, Mary Anne Couture, Leesha Couture, Charlene Couture, David M. Couture and Amy Farnsworth; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Bruce David Marinelli

BRUCE DAVID MARINELLI
September 30, 1950 ~ May 15, 2022 (Age 71)

Winchendon - Bruce David Marinelli, 71, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 15, 2022 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

He leaves his loving wife, Kathy E. (Young) Marinelli; one son, Selvino Marinelli of RI; one daughter, Korii Marinelli of Gardner; two stepsons, Nick Pioli of Winchendon and Jason Pioli of Gardner, one stepdaughter, Kara Pioli of Concord, NH; five grandchildren, Tyler Russell, Sarii Race, Brooklyn Marinelli, Brodie Marinelli and Becket Marinelli; his mother, Gloria (Lafortune) Preston of Winchendon; two brothers, Rick Marinelli of Winchendon and Jeff Marinelli of Hubbardston; one sister, Amy Marinelli of Winchendon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born in Winchendon on September 30, 1950, a son of the late Selvino A. Marinelli. He worked as a bartender and worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, the ocean, hunting, golfing, gardening and woodworking. He was a little league children's coach in town and at one time president of The Winchendon Golf Course. His greatest love however was his wife, children and grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, and all who knew and loved him.

His funeral services will be private.

The Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475 has been entrusted with Bruce's funeral arrangements. A Celebration of Life after will be held at Chicks Tavern, 196 Pleasant Street Winchendon on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 12 o'clock, for family and friends.

Ruth M. Alie

RUTH M. (NASIATKA) ALIE
December 22, 1935 ~ May 12, 2022 (Age 86)

Ruth M. (Nasiatka) Alie, 86 years young, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Heywood Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Otter River on 12/22/35, she was the daughter of the late Stella (Nasiatka) Parsons. Ruth graduated from Templeton High School in 1954 where she excelled in basketball. Ruth met the love of her life in high school and married shortly after graduation to James (Jim) Alie. Ruth had been employed at Narragansett High School, George Bent Company, S. Bent Company and Standard Chair after her four children began school. She held various office positions at each company. Ruth lived her entire life in the Town of Templeton with the past 58 years in Otter River.

Ruth was a life-long parishioner of St. Martins Church in Otter River and was very involved with all activities for the church. Ruth enjoyed making all kinds of crafts for her church fairs, family and friends. She would scour many crafting catalogs and attend other craft fairs to find the right items/ideas to make. Jim would cut the wood for the items and she would paint each craft item with detail and talent - they worked as a team on every project. Ruth was a very talented artist and painted many canvas pictures of various scenes. Ruth enjoyed her flower gardens, she had that special green thumb and could name all the flowers and how to care for them. Ruth enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for gifts for family members or donated them to the church for raffles. Ruth and Jim loved to travel. They traveled as much as possible after retirement. Ruth also loved the beach and the family would vacation in Maine yearly. Ruth loved Halloween and would dress up in a different costume every year for the trick-or-treaters. The time that Ruth loved the most was when she was with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth leaves her husband of 67 years, Jim (James) Alie; two daughters Joanne Goguen and her husband Clayton Goguen of Gardner and Jackie Johnson of Templeton, and one son James Alie and his wife Debra Alie of Gardner. Six grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and his partner Ryan Lawrence of Petersham, Corey Johnson and his partner Vanessa Boudreau of Winchendon, Laura Goguen and her partner Brian Clarizia of Beverly, MA, Lesley Goguen of Gardner, Cheyenne Alie of Templeton. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jack, Jase, Joseph and Julia Johnson and Jordan, Jaxson and Julian Barnicle. Ruth is also survived by son-in-law Mark Hanks, nieces and several cousins.

She is predeceased by daughter Joyce Hanks, great-granddaughter Jaylin Rose Johnson, son-in-law Richard Tanzi and sister Diane Murray.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:30 AM in St. Martins Church in Otter River, 248 State Road, Otter River, MA Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA at 1:00. Calling hours will be held from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA.
