YouTube Sensation Plays Park Theatre This Saturday

Singer/songwriter/musician Vere Hill has a music video that has over 17 million hits and will perform concert in Jaffrey

JAFFREY, New Hampshire (August 29, 2022) When you perform in a music video that receives close to 18,000,000 hits on YouTube, something unique happens. This is the case with Vere Hill. Vere sang Tennessee Whiskey impromptu during a street performer's video (Dovyda) in Sarasota, Florida. Vere stole the show. The video caught fire and became viral. It has been shared around the world. Fans will be able to see this tremendous talent when Vere plays a live concert a the new Park Theatre performing arts center this Saturday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Vere is not new to performing. He is known as a "one-man party". All he needs is his keyboards, infectious smile, and voice to make any event a happening and make everyone in the crowd happy and want to dance. He plays all types of music-- reggae, pop, rock, R&B, blues, and more. SeeItLive.co wrote that Vere is "a cross between Chris Stapleton and Barry White."

Vere ventured from St. Maarten to the Dutch Caribbean island Curacao, then to Hampton, VA, and now Peterborough, NH. He plays over 300 shows a year in New England and beyond. Vere is an artist true to his passion in every sense and dimension of the word. He possesses the ability to make audiences endear to him forever.

Tickets for Vere Hill can be purchased online at theparktheatre.org, by calling the box office (603) 532-8888, or by purchasing at the door. Nova Arts Events This Weekend and Next

Nova Arts is proud to continue in person entertainment at 48 Emerald St in Keene NH!

Friday, September 2 we are presenting our first Bollywood Movie Night, hosted by Vidhi Salla of Vidhi's Bollywood Jukebox. There will be Bollywood dance music before the screening and a brief cultural introduction to the film presented by Vidhi. Audiences can shop at Vidhi's pop-up stall of Indian handicrafts such as shawls, purses and silver jewelry sourced directly from the makers. Also available at the venue will be Indian snacks that audiences can enjoy before the screening and during the 10-minute intermission. We are asking for a $15 donation for this event.

Thursday, September 8, Nova Arts will be hosting Little Mazarn and Aisha Burns, all from Texas. Thor Harris says the Little Mazarn are "a cool float a few feet from the ground through a dimly lit, almost familiar forest. It is quieter than silence, big as everything, still but always moving. If you've ever had flying dreams, or an amazing night time bike ride on LSD, this might be a world for you. Chords are made up of notes; Little Mazarn gives them all their own moment. There are NO superfluous notes played here."

Aisha Burns released her solo debut Life in the Midwater in 2013. Called "twisting, ethereal...arresting" by Dazed Magazine, and praised for its "delicate intimacy" by NPR, Life in the Midwater explored mortality and relationships with candor and wisdom. Her new album, Argonauta, is a collection of songs about her struggle with the grief of losing her mother, while also navigating a new relationship, and ultimately trying to discern the new normal for her life.

Doors are at 7:00 p.m. and music will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Nova Arts is supported by and under the fiscal sponsorship of Arts Alive.
