Annual Winterfest Raffle at Mount Wachusett Community College December 5th through 7th

GARDNER, MA - November 15, 2023 - As the holiday season approaches, Mount Wachusett Community College is preparing for the annual Winterfest Raffle, held December 5th through the 7th, with winners being pulled on the 7th at 2:00 pm.

The event is sponsored by Student Services, Student Life and CATS (Campus Activity Team for Students) and the funds raised are used for the Emergency Student Loan Fund.

There will be wreaths decorated by student organizations and themed raffle baskets created by MWCC faculty and staff. The baskets grow more extravagant with every passing year. Last year, the greatest hit was the "Student Services, We Deliver!" basket which included an Ooni Pizza Oven and a $100 gift card that could be used to take a pizza dough cooking class. The Marketing Department's "Shop Local" basket was another hot ticket item which included lift passes to Wachusett Mountain Ski Area and a stay at Great Wolf Lodge.

The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in the festivities. Bidders can stop by the Gardner Campus commons area, accessible through the main entrance, Tuesday, December 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, December 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is cash only, however there is an ATM on campus.

Check out more photos of baskets and wreaths at mwcc.edu/Winterfest. Individuals unable to participate in the event can still support students through the MWCC Foundation at mwcc.edu/giving.
