Mary Sandstrom

MARY SANDSTROM
May 9, 1947 ~ February 6, 2024 (Age 76)

Mary (MacDonald) Sandstrom, born on May 9, 1947, in Newton, MA passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024 at the Fitchburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mary had lived in Winchendon for 25 years after previously living in Millville. Before meeting her husband Thomas, Mary grew up and lived in Newton, MA.

Mary worked proudly at Howard Johnson Hotel in Newton for many years. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Thomas Sandstrom, and enjoyed their leisurely drives throughout New England.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her father, Edmund MacDonald, her mother, Catherine(McCormick) MacDonald, her beloved husband Thomas, her brothers, Abie, Eddy, Jackie, Fran and Paul MacDonald, her sisters Kathy Wood, Ellie Rossetti and Marge Newfell.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Fitchburg Nursing and Rehab and her guardian Marlene Messina for the loving care given to Mary.

A celebration of Mary's life will begin with a calling hour on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. at the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts.

The graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 am at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475.

Nancy Bolk

NANCY BOLK
June 21, 1955 ~ February 5, 2024 (Age 68)

Nancy Ann Bolk passed away on February 5, 2024, after a short illness. She was engaged to her longtime companion and was going to be married in April. She was predeceased by her father Paul Roger and is survived by her fiancé Dennis Bozza, her son Charles Leazott, and his wife Tracey, her mother Pauline Roger, her sisters Karen Gravel and Amy LeBlanc, and her 5 brothers - David, Steven, Kenneth, Daniel, and James as well as many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed reading, and playing bingo at Foxwoods Casino and just enjoyed being home with Dennis. Nancy was happy that she was able to attend her niece Stacey’s wedding as she was like a second mother to her. Stacey as a little girl called her Ceecee and still does to this day. Nancy always enjoyed babysitting for all of her nieces and nephews.

She was one of a kind and will be truly missed by many.

There will be a funeral service on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at the Veteran's Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St. in Winchendon, Massachusetts.

LARRY J CROSS
January 1, 1953 ~ January 25, 2024 (Age 71)

Winchendon-Larry J. Cross, 71, died at Athol Hospital on January 25, 2024.

He was born in Athol on January 1, 1953, a son of the late Edward L. and Lois H. (Needham) Cross.

He was a graduate of Murdock High School.
