JOSEPH R. LAVENSKIE
December 24, 1950 ~ May 8, 2024 (Age 70)

oseph R. Lavenskie, born December 24, 1950 in Gardner MA died peacefully on May 8, 2024.

He resided in Rindge, NH with his loving partner of many years Eileen, living off the land.

He enjoyed working on race cars and was a talented mechanic. He could turn trash into treasures, a resourceful and inventive man that never met a stranger, especially in Winchendon, MA.

Joseph is survived by his son John Bukkhegyi, and his three daughters, Shilo Lavenskie, Angela Blish, and Tiffany Lavenskie, and many beloved grandchildren. Also, a sister Yvonne Lavenskie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise M. Yelle, his brother, James Yelle, and his sister Regina Yelle.

A graveside service will be held at a future date.

The eldest daughter would like to thank the extended family and friends for your thoughts of peace through this difficult time.

JANICE L. MURPHY
November 4, 1942 ~ May 9, 2024 (Age 81)

Janice L. Murphy, 81, of Rindge, NH, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH, following a period of declining health.

Janice was born in Gardner, MA, on November 4, 1942, a daughter to the late Kenneth R. and Alice M. (Gilhooly) Greenwood.

Janice lived in Gardner until the age of 8 and then relocated to Fort Lauderdale FL where she attended Central Catholic High school and graduated in the class of 1960. She also attended Broward Junior College where she earned her associate degree. She lived in Fort Lauderdale for 18 years before re-locating back to Gardner and Winchendon areas where she met her future husband, Robert Murphy. They resided there for 7 years, before eventually moving to Fitzwilliam NH and building a home. Janice worked at Franklin Pierce College and after years of hard work became the Director of Telecommunications until her retirement in 2003.

Janice enjoyed life, she was very outgoing and could spark up conversations with anyone. She also enjoyed watching her husband, son and grandchildren play various sports. She herself enjoyed the beach, traveling with her husband and playing golf. She also enjoyed projects around the house and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to both of her parents, Janice was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Murphy, her sister Marylou Lashua, and her brother Alvin Greenwood.

She will be forever remembered by her son, Derek Murphy and daughter-in-law Amanda Murphy of Jaffrey NH, her daughter, Kelly Wilson and son-in-law Bob Wilson of Valrico FL, her stepdaughter Kerry Herald and her husband Corey Herald of Leominster MA, her grandchildren, Darien Murphy, Addison Murphy, Aiden Murphy, Kia Street, Brittany Doyle, and Christine Redshaw. Also, her great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice's name to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, 580 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431.
