    Obituaries

    Carolyn E. Thibeault

    CAROLYN E. THIBEAULT
    May 16, 1939 ~ January 29, 2026 (Age 86)

Carolyn E. (Evashowsky) Thibeault passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the age of 86. A loving and thoughtful mother and grandmother, she was known fondly as "Gram T" by her grandchildren. Carolyn was born on May 16, 1939, in Gardner, Massachusetts. Her life was a testament to her enduring love for family and friends, and her spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Carolyn was a devoted wife to her late husband, Richard Thibeault, whom she married on August 13, 1988. Together, they enjoyed many winters traveling to Florida, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. She retired in 2001 after six years at The LS Starrett Co. Prior to this, she was employed by The Kontro Company in Orange, and while raising her family of four girls, she worked for Dr. George Manjourea at his dental office in Athol. During her younger years after high school, she attended St Vincents School of Nursing and also worked at Athol Memorial Hospital. She eventually left nursing to marry and start a family.

While her daughters were young, Carolyn was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Petersham Curling Club, which she enjoyed. She was a loyal viewer of her favorite soap opera, "The Young and the Restless." She also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots. What mattered most were her family and time with her friends.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughters, Lori Obue, Theresa White, Diane Chiasson and Denise Aukstikalnis; sons-in-law, Laurence Obue and Timothy Aukstikalnis; grandchildren, Danielle Colella, Ryan Obue, Melissa Fuller, Holly Salemi, Greg Chiasson, Timothy Coleman, Cady McBride and Noah Aukstikalnis; son by marriage, Richard Thibeault Jr., and his wife, Susan; grandchildren by marriage, Justine Sargent, Alex Thibeault, Christopher Thibeault Jr, and Jessica Thibeault. She also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren from her daughters and 3 great-grandchildren by marriage. ROGER A. WALLACE
    January 30, 1964 ~ January 26, 2026 (Age 61)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Wallace, a man whose laughter was contagious and whose generosity knew no bounds. Born on January 30, 1964, in Bath, Maine, Roger spent his life filling the world around him with warmth, humor, and kindness. He passed away on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service.

Roger was known for his unwavering reliability and loyalty--qualities that shaped both his personal life and his career. For 25 years, he served his community as a 911 Dispatcher, where countless people found comfort simply hearing his steady voice on the other end of the line during their most difficult moments. In his younger years, he also served as a Part-Time Special Officer for the Town of Acton, further reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Roger took pride in being someone people could depend on, a value he carried into every part of his life.

Roger is survived in Maine by his loving mother, Gladys Sweeney; his four sisters, Priscilla, Theresa, Eunice, and Tracy; along with half- and step-siblings, and more nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews than could possibly be counted.

Above all else, Roger's greatest joy was his family. His love for his wife, Kim, and their three children--DJ, Ben, and Izzie--was the center of his world. They were his pride, his purpose, and his greatest achievement, and they will carry forward his legacy of laughter, kindness, and unwavering love.

As we remember Roger Wallace, we celebrate a life defined by loyalty, service, and love. Roger showed up--for his family, for his community, and for anyone who needed him. He gave comfort through his steady presence, laughter through his easy humor, and security through his unwavering reliability. The impact of his life lives on in the countless people he helped, the family he cherished, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Please join us in commemorating Roger's life at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts.

We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Roger on the memorial page as we honor the remarkable life he lived.
